It makes me laugh when you say that we waited to have a concurrent to hire guys who have both cycling/programming skills (Xavi) or cycling/game-design skills (Aitor)...
We're ALWAYS searching for guys like them and it was pure luck for us that they were free and wanted to work with us.
Unfortunately those kind of guys are exceptions and for 10000 CVs of C++ programmers you'll have only 1 which is a good programmer & a real cycling fan.
If one of you think he has both cycling/game-design skills or cycling/programming skills or cycling/arts skills you can send me your CV.
We can hire all over the world if you are ready to live in Paris and you speak at least quite good english
About the "game", i've tried it yesterday and it's better saying nothing about it. |

If i send you a 20-page essay on how to improve the manager part of the game, will you send me a check on 100€?

No way i give 1 cent for ideas
It's easy to give ideas and lessons IMHO.
90% of the job is how you can integrate well an idea while knowing all the constraints of the developpment process. |

I think I'll send my application in a year or two, when I finished my bachelor informatica/engineering (in short programming)
I already know c++ but not nearly as advanced enough |

Take it easy, Clément. Remember I know everything about what I'm saying. And also take into account who sent you Cycling Evolution. |

It´s true , I was a betatester of the game (Cycling Evolution)
It has got potential (really , I think some ideas of the game should be in "your" game (PCM) , like the stage editor , team goals , more personal etc.) , but I think many things went wrong and you see the results in the game , also I think they just thrown it on the market to take some money of people so some of the spend money is in
Also there is a friend of mine (Italian) who made a "mod" for CE so there isn´t Boonen winning the TDF , but I don´t know if it´s in the final game (he can "program" , I ask him if he would like to send an application , he is a real cycling fan and I think he has got some ideas)

It's not against you Dankan but i don't want to take it easy because it's always the same on the forums : guys are talking without knowing the real things...
Even if you're a friend of Aitor and you've talked with him, you are not here with us...
When you say that CMEVO made us moving our ass it's not real at all.
When we started our restructuration last year, it was in July'07 and it was a lot of monthes before we heard about this game (i think in July'07 the game was not started because Crimson Cow was still with us at this period).Even if it gave us some extra motivation (making an official db editor for instance) without them on the market PCM08 would have been 99.5% the same...
Remember when CMEVO was announced few monthes ago. They promise a real cycling game far better and realistic than our...and most of the guys were happy, saying we were only french crappy guys
And now ? look at the game : there is nothing in the game which seems realistic...when i mean nothing it's really nothing. Even the first version of Cycling Manager 1 i've seen few monthes before the release was far better.
and thx for the game Dankan |

No problem with it Ruben
If you have personnal projects in C++, it'll help a lot to be hired (in Cyanide or in any other video games studio). |

Oh noes
Several merchants have got Cycling Evolution
You thought it´s dead right?
But now amazon.de and 4u2play.de have got "Radsport Evolution 2009"
It should come out between the 22th and 29th May 2009 for just 20 euros
The cover :

hmm just 20 Euro, that's says a lot about its quality or the licence of the riders.

The fact which is right here is bold
It hasn´t got licences why should they have some?
I think Cyanide have to lay down a nice bunch of money to get the ProTour and some continental teams , TDF , Vuelta and materials license
If you would buy it for just think 100.000€ would you sell it for 50 or 20 euros when you have to think about that you could be happy to sell 10.000 units and the artists etc. should be payed also
I think it (CE) has good ideas which would be interesting to have it at Cyanides game because they weren´t bad.
But when it comes to results (3D or simulating) the game showed it´s face.
Spend 20 euros to eat at Gordon Ramseys restaurant
I played just the demo of Cycling Manager 1 but hell I think even that was more realistic than that
I can remember that someone said that when you attacked and ran out of energy the rider could still ride 45 KM/H on flat terrain
I think I would be on the way to a hospital rather riding a bike
