Trying to spot who the 2nd and 3rd best sprinters are left, perhaps Kreder and Trusov? 1t4i and Tinkoff could add some power to the peloton chase if so.
Quite impressed that loanee Hussein has survived the race.

So....
Very disappointed with 16th. I was aiming for 12th and for a long time it looked like a top 10 was possible, so I'm not too happy although the 4 riders I expected to beat - Kohl, Faiers, Kolesnikov and Brambilla - all had help from being in breaks. Still, we got the aimed for U25 jersey and Le Bon and Vuillermoz did decently. Plus it's nice to see Sisira and Dulin finishing a GT. I'm just still shocked to see Pinot fall apart in the final 3/4 stages like that.
Congrats to SN, and also to Festina for a very impressive performance from Ricco. And while I hated that last mountain stage, it was one of the best reports I've ever read, so thank you roturn. Now to hope the final stage doesn't compound our misery. |

Thanks for the reports roturn
Really feeling sad for Ricco, which should've finished on podium after this performance.
Also cool seeing Brajkovic so long up the GC standings, so kinda gives PCT teams a reason to apply for these GT's

Ponzi should also be a threat with his 76SP and the fact that he should be far less exhausted than the sprinters left with his abilities in the mountains/on the hills. But surely this is the World Champion's stage to loose.
Very happy to see all our eight riders making it to Turin. That was an obvious goal with the squad here, having seven riders with 75 or more in mountains and Ringheim with his 68. And obviously we've been lucky as our 76MO climbers was given the green light to join the successful breakaways, giving us some "free" opportunities. |

Been a really exciting GT, thanks to Roturn for the great reports throughout, really bringing the entertainment to the masses . The regularity of reports also helps bring a tension and rythm to the viewer (same can be said across the board for this season - kudos to all).
Every race has winners and losers, but good luck to the remaining starters to get safely round the final stage. Congrats to the overall podium guys and their squads. The impact of a team unsuited to the mountains holding the leaders jersey on the AI has been pretty interesting to observe. Nevertheless, a great outing for Festina even if the shine taken off a little by stage 20, overall still probably going to be the highest point-scorers here (?). Other noteworthy performances: Guldhammer certainly over-performed from what I expected, with the likes of Denfil, Nibali Uran and Velits being pretty disappointing in terms of what they contributed to the show; these 4 must be under severe pressure now to put a reasonable shine on the rest of their seasons to put themselves back into respective management's good books. On the other hand, PCT wildcards ONCE and CoC put on a good show, and must have thoroughly enjoyed stepping up.

Great final win at the last there from Schleck, who is moving towards MG legend status with his wins of all the GT's now. Was just the stronger climber out of him and Madrazo in the end which decided it. Unfortunate for Ricco after holding on for so long but his luck had to run out sooner or later.
Thanks for the great reports roturn, a very exciting race to follow. |

What a race it has been! Can't help but feel for Ricco and Festina, riding a near perfect race and coming unstuck on the final important stage. Well done to Schleck and Vesuvio though, he certainly showed to be much stronger than Madrazo.

What an epic stage! Great cover, roturn!
After several brave performances Faiers almost collapsed as expected, final 8th place plus KOM jersey is still great though.
Big congratulations to SN for Schleck´s completing his goal, although I was rooting for Madrazo. Terrible stage for Festina, with Ricco slipping down from podium and DNF sprint train. Still great Giro for SotD, I guess.
I´m curious how things gonna happen in final stage, not too much sprinters with solid support left in race. Maybe chance for Jaser to grab his first top 10 on GT?
Hopefully no bad events will influence final GC (KOM ranking )

Sorry tsmoha. Really was hoping Goss takes the final stage for your stage win goal. But it wasn`t meant to be. Tinkoff men power and Ponzi were too strong.
Congrats SN for the huge GT triple with Andy. It was close until the last mountain stage but clearly the best climber won.
Also congrats SotD. Despite dropping in 20th stage, this was some huge Giro for you with a couple of stage wins. 2 long time jerseys and still 4th in GC,´which couldn`t have been expected before the Giro.
Congrats as well to Alak and Valverde for making a podium spot and also to all managers that probably feel to have success here. I guess Pendleton`s, Tinkoff and Pokerstars in especially can be very happy with their GC positions and stage wins.
Thanks for some nice discussion here with ~1 page per report, which made it very nice to report for me. |

Well, that's over.
Great first experience in a GT, and likely the last in quite some time... My team's shown itself more than enough for me to be satisfied. Maciej Ulanowski only scored 1 single point in regular races so far, but has been up here in the sprints until he unfortunately missed the time cut. Oleksandr Prevar is a nice attacking rider, which got rewarded on stage 15 with a nice second place. Artem Topchanyuk has done well to get in the breaks, get pretty close to winning a stage, wore the KoM jersey and got 3rd in the KoM classification. Mykhaylo Kononenko has done what was expected of him and got a decent 6th place on a stage where he joined the break.
It's very likely my future, possibly CT, team will be built around these guys, together with Nepomnyachsniy, which would be a great team, but also a shame as these guys are worthy of riding on a higher level as they've shown...
Oh and finally: Mikayil Krasnoperov is shit!
See you PT guys at the Tour de Suisse!

Great Giro Roturn. With all the dynamics there is nothing like reporting a GT. A real edgeoftheseat race, didn't see the pink jersey buckling like that on stage 20, but there we go.
Good race for plenty, the jerseys all going to different teams and a wide variety of stage winners. Just one of those races for the Oz, always was going to be when they didn't take out the TTT and Movistar - US Postal will need to kick themselves up the behind for the Vuelta!
Stoked for the Vuelta now, no stage win for the wildcards at this Giro, maybe that will change for Bonsucro?!
Have some cake, Roturn!

We'll said enough about GC in other posts. It was a dramatic GC battle, plenty of breakaway victories.
Lots of flat stages did end in a sprint and I am curious to how Guerao would have performed here. Actually quite pleased with Chen who managed fifth here which is better sometimes than the guy who he badly led out albeit in much reduced company on stage 21 there.
Liked the Katusha comment roturn was that a slip or intended Just fantastic job with race roturn thank you very much!

Fantastic! Having finished 4th, 3rd, 2nd and 4th to Cunego in the past, finally an overall victory for my team at the Giro!
Interesting race throughout with plenty of twists, turns and unexpected results. Always nice when a GT goes down to the wire.
Pleased to see a sprint at the end, and that Good Energy got a win in their main race. Not quite so succesful as last year, but it's something.
Really great work roturn, and nicely reward by the fact that we are a few posts away from this being the 2nd biggest race discussion thread in MG history. Great activity on this thread through the race, which is great for the reporter and great for the game. Always like it when managers are commenting when not part of the race itself.

Spoiler I actually wrote this report while watching Tour de France. I am sure, this has influenced me a bit.
Definitely wasn`t intended as this is far above my creativity level. |

Thanks Roturn, awesome reports, super fast and just greatly reported.
Even though we scored pretty nicely this will leave bitter taste, we failed the win goal but 2nd is alright but frankly his performance in mountains here just shows he's not really that good ^^ So while we get some goal points, this race does not leave my in much confidence at all for rest of his goals in stage races and classic..especially when his secondary stats will count much less.
Kump was a disaster, absolutely nothing worthy of mention..Brenes I haven't seen whole race as well which is a shame but also not his fault since it was stupid AI allowing just Festina to control 3/4 of the Giro.. Goos has done great really promising results, very happy with him.
