Way way too young to be dealing with F1. Seriously this is going to end badly. No question about his talent, the guy is fast, but no way does he have the experience, thinking, whatever you want to call it, to manage at the level required in F1.
It's just a whole other level both physically and mentally and i doubt Kvyat will be able to handle it and compete regularly over the whole season.

I'll bet that he'll ruin that car often. I'll just hope that a lot of times he also takes out Vettel. |

The whole "too young" talk remembers me of 2001 when Sauber got Räikkönen (back then 21) into the F1 after just 2 seasons at Formula Renault, he did around 23 races and he won 13 of them.
The FIA even don't wanted to give him the super license as he was seen as too inexperienced and too young for the F1.
But Sauber promised that Räikkönen will deliver so the FIA gave Räikkönen the super license and look where he is now.

Sirotkin is even younger. He's only eighteen and he'll ride for Sauber next year. (If he'll get his super license.)

I just went to Rush, the movie about the rivalry between Lauda and Hunt. Such a great movie and I can recommend everyone, even no Formula One fans. I went with a friend of me and he doesn't have anything with Formula One, but he said that's a great movie as well. Anyone else who've seen the movie?

I watched it last week. It was indeed a great movie. I went on youtube to watch the real life crash and its exactly the same as in the movie.
A great rivalry. And Niki Lauda is the man. The press conference where some guy says something about his face and the possible end of his marriage. Then he says fuck you and emda the conference. Then james hunt finds him and smashes the crap out of him.

What? Vettel behind Webber? We can't have that!
Red Bull radios that the gearbox has a problem, a lap later it conveniently fails. Vettel back in front and all is right with the world again
Last time I checked, Vettel was 10+ weconds in front of Webber

Well, here's something: he can break Schumacher's record of titles, that he won't be the best. Not even close to beeing the best ever. |

I won't bother copycat what issoisso wrote a couple of pages ago, but the proof of Vettel's talent is still to be shown. Of course he's not a bad driver, he's just, maybe, somewhere around the 10th best position in terms of talent on the current F1 grid. That probably counts as great overall, but not among F1 drivers. |

Allright, I'm not really that much into F1 anymore, but just curious, who would you put on 1?

Probably Alonso. With Raikkonen 2nd and Hamilton 3rd. Or the last 2 switched. |

I'd disagree. Vettel is a GREAT driver, potentially the best on the grid right now. Doesn't matter how goo your car is, you still have to drive it to victory. He consistently has done so to win 4 titles. The only other drivers to win 4 titles are Fangio (arguably the best ever), Schumacher (arguably the best driver ever) and Prost (also arguably the best ever). Vettel has done exactly what these guys have done now, there is no questioning his ability to drive or his talent.
But Vettel, so far, has shown that he is an AVERAGE racer. Very few times has he shown real ability to go wheel-to-wheel with other cars and fight back against the odds or out perform his car. He has done it (Monza 08 and Brazil 12 come to mind) but equally he has not (Germany 11? and Spa 10).
Any talk about greatest F1 drivers of all time have to include Vettel. He has won 4 titles, only 4 men have done that. It's more than Stewart, Senna, Lauda, Clark and Alonso, all of whom are included in such talks. Not saying he is the best/greatest but you cannot discount him. No-one wins 4 titles with being great.

As mentioned above and on previous pages, Alonso, Hamilton, Raikkonen in no particular order.
I'm not even sure Webber wouldn't be in front of Vettel, would they drive for a non RB team.
Button was closer to Hamilton than I expected, who knows, Rosberg might also be faster than VET. Hulkenberg, Di Resta, Grosjean ? I'm not sure Vettel is better than them.
@TMM : I get your point, but 1) Vettel cannot be beaten by his team mate ("we think your tyres are wearing off Mark, slow down then come in in two laps") 2) RB do not respect the costs restriction agreement, so nobody can challenge them on the length of a season
Consequence of 1 and 2 : the only possible world champion is Vettel, regardless of his talent

@Aquarius
I don't go with the best car argument (2) because then why is Webber not coming 2nd as often as Vettel is winning? Because Vettel brings something else that makes the difference. And that is his great ability to be consistently fast, exploiting the RBR's strengths. This is what makes him a great driver. And the 4 titles, 2 of which were pretty much against the odds, cannot be overwritten by anything else. It does make him one of the all time greats.
And the top talented drivers in the grid is a damn tough one. Alonso and Raikonen are out in front. But behind them it's very tricky.
Hamilton is fast, but Roseburg is seriously close to him, as was Button at McLaren. But then again he soundly challenged Alonso in 07, and had an incredible second half of 09.
Button though is being pushed very hard by Perez, who is hardly outstanding. Perez though was very good for Sauber with some great races.
And so does Hulkenburg, who also had pole in Brazil in 10. So Hulkenburg is up there.
Grosjean is finally coming good. He is fast, but then so are all the drivers, but has been eratic. He needs some more good races to be really considered towards the top.
Di Resta and Sutil are tough. Both are good, but never stand out often enough. And i'd say Sutil is better than Di Resta.
So: 1) Alsonso 2) Raikonen 3) Vettel (yes!) 4) Hulkenburg 5) Hamilton 6) Grosjean/Sutil/Roseburg 10) Webber/Button/Di Resta
