So. Uruguay with a solid 5-0 against Jordan. Mexico-NZL also tonight. That'll be more interesting, I guess.

Just one goal scored by Ronaldo is not bad for the second game for Portugal. Sweden had some chances on the first half but the second was really weak and they were lucky to just take one goal. Still a great and tight game can be expected for the second match.
Great result by Ucraine. Good luck against the referee in France! |

Well if Ronaldo doesn't win this years Ballon d'Or then I believe the FIFA doesn't like him, well ok Blatter told it actually but I mean all the others voting too.
And France oh god.. I wonder if anyone could help them?

Platini must be calling everyone.
We played decently, but I'm scared of playing in Sweden. |

Why that annoying Orchestra the hole game in Portugal...?
Decent first half from Sweden 2nd felt a bit tough.
But anyway still a good chance for us on Tuesday!

Ronaldo should have been sent off
Nah just kidding but he did look very frustraded until he got that shitty goal. Will be a nice game on tuesday. |

Yep. And if Messi wins this year, corruption is in irreversible state...

They should give the Golden Ball to Lance Armstrong. He could use another one and then he'd have the balls to come clean properly |

I'm sure you will elaborate on the referee aspect.

They lost a match, it's not the end of the world. They might win the home game (or draw, or lose).
Let's face it, France is a second tier national team, and has been one for half a decade if not more. For what it's worth, Ukraine has a better FIFA ranking. They had slightly more opportunities to score than Ukrain but didn't manage one when their opponent scored twice. Things could have gone the other way. They've played worst than that several times.

You can blame Henry for controlling the ball with his hand, or the referee for not seeing or whistling. Nothing to be proud of with that qualification, but what should people have done ? I mean realistically.
I'm more than pissed off by what's on TV or internet about that match in Ukraine, by politicians, media, etc. Blame the lack of patriotism (patriotism ? yuck), blame ultra-liberalism (sure ), blame the excessive numbers of players with foreign ancestors (to put it in a charitable way) in the team.
I've no particular sympathy for the national team, but f***, they lost a match and that's it. It doesn't have to be made a national tragedy with complex geopolitical and societal implications.
Just so that a ton of ridiculous morons will have to shut their pathetic mouths if they're qualified tomorrow evening, I hope they will. But even if that happens, come the time they'd be out of the world cup and it'll start all over again.

Very valid point. I heard Hitler also blamed the people of this after he lost the war |
