I know it's over from the 70es/80es (read the first part again) but I don't know when they decided to build the runoff area with all those stuff.
Kimi can't remember it too it seems

Those barriers are part of the modern circuit boundary. The run-off area has been there since the track was converted. So 25+years.
In the past, though, i think there was a gap at the top end of that section.

Didnt race in the last 4 years. Only Live for Speed. We were mainly racing in the OWRL and endurance races, one season in the MoE. |

Ah, I won't know you then
No doubt I know a trillion guys you raced with, but we've probably never even heard each other's names then.

With Kobayashi out of a seat, and Grosjean possibly replaced by Kovaleinen, we're going to need new favourites to break cars and material during every race. |

LOLWUT? No. Don't want to seem harsh but they'll never do that
They'd never replace a blisteringly fast young driver with a propensity for crashes and the talent to be a superstar with a guy the wrong side of 30 who as nice and friendly as he is, never came close to fulfilling his potential
Especially when the team manager is also his agent.

Ridiculous, if you'd ask me
Okay, I know my opinion is a bit biased, but also from a neutral perspective, I'd say changing results after the race has run is a bad thing in general.

There's nothing to it. The pass was made after a marshal post where a green flag was waved.

Surely Ferrari should have lodged the complaint immediately after the race had ended |

The FIA Rules state that you have a 5 day period to appeal any incients... Technically Ferrari would be in their right!
But I read somewhere that Domenicali doesnt want to appeal this incident at all...

Funnily enough, Kobayashi is also one of the spoken names to replace Grosjean. |

According to the facts I have read, it is not possible to appeal after the race, only FIA could investigate.
Guess how loses his job at Ferrari. |
