Am i the only one who noticed, and thought it was weird, that Contador didnt were in front of the group on the hill? He looked very tired, even though he had not really worked much in the group. Maybe form not so good.
Maybe its just me.. Probably lets see in the mountains.
You are correct..

Contador already proved that at the Giro a few years ago that he can ride himself into form. I agree, if Schleck is serious about winning TDF than he has to look to take the advantage early, because Contador will take a few mins in the final TT. He won't, his tactics suck. |

Levi or Jani could also wear yellow tomorrow as he was in the same boat as Schleck. I think they will give it to Horner when The Shack dominate tomorrow |

Contador has to put some of the blame on him self.. In a finish like that, it's important for the GC contenders to be in front of the peloton, and Contador knows this...

well what a fitting start to the tour for the scum that is alberto contador.
should never have even rode in the first place.
could finally be the year of the evans!!
AUSSIE AUSSIE AUSSIE!
Let me guess. You didn't hear about the guy who worked specifically with Evans getting caught in possession of 195 doses of EPO earlier this week, did you?

I heard that when you get to a certain level of fanboyism, you get a filter in your ears that doesn't allow you to hear certain things. Not sure about this, though. |

Great win for Gilbert and thumps down for Contador, sitting so far back definitely caused it and it's not very like him to do that. With him probably losing some more time tomorrow the mountain stages should be a great spectacle to watch though.

Yes, this has all the ingredients for a classic Tour already... |

I'm just amazed at people's stupidity today :
- first, some spectators' stupidity : how can you be THAT close to guys who are riding THAT fast ?
- then, the peloton's stupidity : i mean, why on earth couldn't they hold on for some time, wait for the guys who crashed, and then go on ? It's not like it didn't happen before, or like nobody's talking about fair-play everyday ...
Then, as for Contador, let's wait a bit before drawing conclusions : he's tired, he might lose this Tour, but just wait, and see
But, at least, there's one good news : Gilbert and le Tour are finally friends

Yes that spectator really messed up
It would be bad if Contador won since he will get suspended in september and end up losing all the titles. It is already bad enough he won the tour and will lose that title too. That is my opinion anyway. |

"Specifically" for Evans? Not quite sure this is specifically the case! |

I am a huge Evans fan, but to be fair to Contador, he was well and truly within the legal limits for the drugs. Contador is far from my favourite rider, but come on guys, no need for this...
Also, Schleck is in an amazing position to take the tour. I also want to clarify that Leopard were not working after Contador crashed, they didn't even know that he was caught out by it. It was Omega-Pharma that was working, and rightly so. They had a strong chance with Gilbert and, sure enough, Gilbert won. Good racing in my opinion

It is. The guy worked only with Evans and Van Avermaet

How do you know this? I haven't seen any direct links to Evans? I agree the relationship is worryingly close, but have no knowledge of him being directly linked to Evans!

He has worked with several BMC riders, the Norwegian sprinter Alexander Kristoff has told norwegian television that he had worked with BMC as a "substitute" on a few races.
