Roman Kreuziger's Tour de France 2012
This year we follow Roman Kreuziger stage-by-stage through the toughest race on earth, hoping that he can get Team Sky's 1st ever Tour de France win. It wont be easy, see as Andy Schleck, Igor Anton, Denis Menchov, Cadel Evans, Alejandro Valverde, and Robert Gesink are all here, as well as Bradley Wiggins, Ryder Hesjedal, but most notably Contador is not.

It was a very tough TDF, for everyone, and if it wasn't for a few seconds here and there, we might have had a different leader. Obviously 2nd place is a good result for Roman, but to be so close yet not winning, when its the one race he peaked for all season, its also a bit of a disappointing result. Again Sky are left winless in the GT's so far this season but Kreuziger will now head off to La Vuelta where he should get another good result. Thomas, Boasson Hagen and Swift all did fairly well in the sprints, but the didn't always crack the Top 10, something we wanted them to do every stage. Hopefully they will all learn things for the future, and come next year maybe get the team that elusive stage win we've been trying so hard to get. Still this TDF cant be called a let-down as Roman finished 2nd, although our sponsors dont seem too much happier.

Surprising Conta wasn't at the tour, and very nice 2nd by Kreuziger. You keep mixing up the style of GT reports, and I like it

So close, but yet so far for Kreuziger. I am very pleased with that result And did Caspar win the last stage from a break or did Kreuziger fall behind in the run in to the line.

@Mresuperstar - Thanks, I was shocked he wasn't participating too. Glad you like the style, although I'm not sure which I like better (maybe you could help me out on this?).
@DJP-Yeah, Kreuziger lost his lead on Stage 19, which was a real shame. And Casper won in a break of 6 riders.
Next thing on the menu should be David's next race.

Great result for Kreuziger, well done!
Personally, I like the version of the Giro Summary (weeks 2 and 3) better. But this one is fine as well.
Looking forward to David's next race!

I just like the fact you change it up each time, I kind of liked the Giro reports better but the TDF one works just as well. I'm still trying to think of a better report style for when I run into the Giro again next year. And hopefully I won't have to do one for Tour (Because I will be in it.)

Nice second with Roman Kreuziger. A high point after Giro's let down performance. |

Awesome result, looks like only Schleck and Kreuziger where the only real challengers. |

@Cunego59-Thanks! I do too, but unfortunately they are also a lot more work Thanks, I should have the Vattenfall Cyclassics up today!
@Mresuperstar-Thanks, maybe I will change it up again But this time I sorta just wanted to follow Kreuziger in the Tour, since Sky didn't get a stage win anyway, so I thought this was the best way.
@Freitas-Thanks, the Giro wasn't a huge let down, the biggest let down is that our sponsors still hate me, even because 2nd in the TDF is worse than being top sprinter, which will never be possible with this team.
@craig324- Thanks! Yeah, Kreuziger had the lead most of the 2nd and 3rd week, but lost it later on. But it was still amazing, he had 1 race day going into the Tour of Luxembourg, then after Luxembourg he went to Suisse, and then won the Nat. Champs. Almost the whole Tour he had 99 fitness, so if you ever want a rider to peak for just the Tour, I just found a new strategy.

Two More Join Sky ProCycling!
So two more riders join Sky for next season brining the total "Ins" to 5 with Teklehaimanot, Creber and Stafford already joining. Now Josh Atkins a young Kiwi has joined, and with Trek Livestrong has shown that he has potential in becoming a strong stage racer in the future.
Also joining the team is Andrew Tennant, who will be used to bring back some TT depth, that was lost when Michael Rogers announced he would leave at the end of the season. Tennant will also be a key domestique in smaller flat stage races, but he has the ability to win TT stages.
Their Stats:
Now we just have one more rider to name, and he's a very good rider too. One of the best young climbers in the world.

Thanks, and I'll edit it, to say Kiwi instead of Aussie, its hard to tell with the circle flags in PCM. But thanks for the response.

Vattenfall Cyclassics
August, 15th, 2012
David's Plan:
It may surprise you all but this is actually my first PT race of the season so I'm very excited to do well, atlhough I think I will just be working for Eddy Boss today. I might get to slip into the breakaway, but I'm not sure.
Here is the rest of the team for today:
Here is the break of the day. Geraint Thomas managed to slip into the break, although it took a few tries. Certainly he would be the favourite to win the stage, if the break stayed clear, but it is a Classic so theres less chance of that happening.
And indeed it didn't happen, the break was swept up with 11km to go. And all of the team was dead tired including me, but Flecha had enough in the tank to do a leadout for Boasson Hagen, but because it was only him, Hagen had to start his sprint very early.
And so, Hushovd takes it, speeding by on the barriers, Cavendish squeezes past Hagen for 2nd, but still 3rd, a very good result for the team.
Result:
1 | Thor Hushovd | Katusha Team | 4h59'43 | 2 | Mark Cavendish | HTC - Highroad | s.t. | 3 | Edvald Boasson Hagen | Sky ProCycling | s.t. | 4 | Matthew Goss | HTC - Highroad | s.t. | 5 | André Greipel | Omega Pharma - Lotto | s.t. | 6 | Philippe Gilbert | Omega Pharma - Lotto | s.t. | 7 | Tyler Farrar | Team Garmin - Cervélo | s.t. | 8 | Gerald Ciolek | Quick·Step Cycling Team | s.t. | 9 | Heinrich Haussler | Team Garmin - Cervélo | s.t. | 10 | Marko Kump | Geox - TMC | s.t. | ... | 169 | David Veilleux | Sky ProCycling | s.t. |

Yeah thanks, my Photobucket tab froze, so I just posted the report anyway, since last night the same thing happened but I kept trying to get the flags in and eventually my whole internet froze so I had to re-write it all again today.
And thanks, comments are always appreciated since they're becoming less and less with PCM 11 out now.

Third is pretty good for Eddy imo. He outsprinted some very fast guys. And David's terrain is still to come, we couldn't expect much from him on a sprinters classic.
And regarding the flags: I don't copy every single flag from photobucket. That's a lot of (unnecessary) work imo. Because as you may have noticed, the URLs of the flags only differ in the two letters for the country. E.g.:
https://i918.photo...0V2/de.png
for Germany, and
https://i918.photo...0V2/fr.png
for France.
Therefore, I just copy one flag and put in in front of every rider, and then just change the two letters so that the countries are correct. Sometimes you have to look which letters are the correct ones, but after little time, you'll know them all and I think it's a lot more comfortably that way. But that's just my opinion

Thanks both were pretty amazing.
@ cunego59 - Thanks, I was happy with the result, but of course I always want to do better
Also really great advice for the flags, that should save me lots of time, (and trouble, although hopefully not) in the future.
*To All*
I have a question, would you rather I report the three Italian classics seperately or altogether in one report? I want to get to the Canadian races quickly, but I dont want it to lack details, if it means it wont be as enjoyable for you to read.
