I asked them for several countries. Answer was that Norway, New Zealand, South Africa and all countries that far away from the equator are not really possible.
Japan is definitely possible, same for China, Oman, Argentina...
I also asked for these countries, without an answer given.
Again, South Africa is 35 degree's south, New Zeeland is 45 degrees, London is 50 degrees north, the distance from the equator is not an issue in the southern hemisphere until Antarctica

I have no idea of the technical terms how to create .dem files.
This is just what I was told in the Cyanide Forum. |

And its not that they are making the maps themselves. I have this theory they are buying them from a third party due to the extremely high precision of them. So you cant really accuse them of being lazy.

I know that some had this problem. But couldn`t find the right thread.
If you cannot see the route of your gpx file in your editor, although you do everything correctly.
I just had the same problem.
Try to load your gpx with www.bikeroutetoas... and save it again afterwards. Then open this new gpx within the editor.
Now I have the route.
First gpx I downloaded from www.gpsies.com and it didn`t work.
But I never had a problem with bikeroutetoaster.
So give it a try. |

Most times there is just one wrong waypoint. That means if you compare the height of the waypoint (z-axis on the right) there will be too big differences.
Click on black slopes in the profile view, change to 3D View and look for the marked waypoint. Around this one is the bad slope. |

Anybody else recognized problems with the editor and patch 1.0.4.2?
Since I installed the newest patch the loading times are much longer. Also there are lots of crashes.
Especially if you create bigger fields and forests.
Also the loading time in the game is longer than normal.
It might be a computer problem but I never had it in other stages. The first stage with 1.0.4.2 was horrible to create. |

I've just noticed the game takes a lot longer to open, with patch 1.0.4.1. Haven't installed 4.2 but I haven't tried stage making in atleast 2 weeks anyway.

When I try to open my GPX file in Stage Editor it says: Max width for a stage is 210.00 km (Your stage: 227.68 km).
Isn't it possible to make stages that is longer then 210 km?

I remember reading this answer somewhere in this thread. Just have a look thru for a while and you should find it. Sorry I don't know it off the top of my head.

Found it, but I have another problem. After I added road and road points I clicked Profile View, but my stage doesn't show up.
Why?
EDIT: Never mind, found the problem.

Sorry for doubleposting, but once again I have problems.
First of all the 3D View camera is not working good according to me. I can't zoom close to the road and because of that it's much harder to add start and finish.
My second problem is that I can't add finish line at the end of the route, because my stage is over 210 km.
And the last problem is that when I added the start, it doesn't show up in 3D View. Same with the mountain sprints.
This is my first stage so I am trying to learn to make stages. Help appreciated.

1) Just add a single waypoint. Can be a forest or sea or whatever. Than search errors and go to the single point. Then you can zoom very close to everything.
2) The stage can be 300km. Just not if it`s a strict road without corners. But the shortest line from the first to the last point mustn`t be under 210km or what the error says.
So normally you should be able to build another road and add some more route points there.
3) Is there any error news? Maybe bad route or something like this?
Normally it should appear. Is there a start or mountain in profile view or in the menu on the right? |
