Stage 1 – Mogollon Road Race – 150.3km
SPRINT – Rodriguez/Team Novo Nordisk
On a stage with a profile that doesn't him, Rodriguez/Team Novo Nordisk went away early with the sole intention of getting the intermediate sprint points that were on offer
Once Rodriguez has been swallowed back up Driscoll/Jamis Hagens, Castiblanco/EPM-UNE, Lipscomb/Hincapie Sportswear, McCartney/Bissell and Van der Velde/Jelly Belly set off on there adventure
They currently have over four minutes on the peleton
SPRINT - Van der Velde/Jelly Belly
Portugese team LA Antarte are doing the pace setting for the peleton
A group of thirty seven riders have lost contact with the peleton and are now prepared to ride along with the hope that they make it to the finish within the time limit
Driscoll has been dropped from the front group and is now in the middle of no mans land
McCartney makes the first real move on the final climb up to the finish in Mogollon
Van der Velde and Castiblanco have got back on level terms as the red kite beckons
Van der Velde is the stronger of the three at the top and deservedly takes the win
Our race favourite Stetina comes over the line in a creditable fourth place

Rodriguez/Team Novo Nordisk is once again out in front just looking for the Sprint points
Holler/Thuringer Energie is about to link up to share the duties
Martz/Hincapie Sportswear has joined up with Holler but the junction to Rodriguez is proving elusive

Finally the capture is made and also Simpson/Team Differdange has joined the party
MOUNTAIN – Stamsnijder/Cyclingteam De Rijke
The foursome finally got reeled in mainly down to the fast pace being set by the Jelly Belly team
UnitedHealthcare have started gathering at the front
Reijnen has done a great job in getting the Team Novo Nordisk train into contention
Rodriguez is in a great position as last man in the train but has being in the breakaway taken away his energy for the sprint
It had indeed as Sabido/LA Antarte won the mass sprint at the finish

On the Gila Stetina is 5th overall because of the breakaway on stage 1 that took the first 3 places.Without it he would have been 2nd.I hope Stetina passes those breakaway riders at the end of the race.

The first attack of todays stage has just occurred with Mourato/LA Antarte, Turner/Hincapie Sportswear and Lemieux/Chipotle First Solar involved

The pack has started to ramp up the pace
