Hushovd
Pereiro was second, I believe.
I also remember an interview with a guy who drove one of the motorbikes for about 20 years. This interview was in the early 2000s.
His answer to "best descender he'd ever seen" was immediate: "Virenque".

Schleck did nearly win LBL a couple of years ago with an attack on the downhill section from what I remember. Not raining then, so maybe there's still time for Frank to put one over on Fulsang. |

Ciolek was in that crash.
Edit: No he's not, it's Roels.

No chance at all. St. Nicolas climb about to come up. Then 15kms downhill and flat to the finish. Bunch sprint almost certain.
Too bad about Ciolek. I wanted him to get the leader's jersey
EDIT: thank god it's not Ciolek. I heard Ciolek and went "WTF that's clearly not him", but both biciciclismo and the eurosport commentators were saying Ciolek, so I thought "meh, maybe he was also there"

I'm confused.
One thing I'm certain of, though. The Vuelta in these roads and in this weather was a lousy idea

I hope to god the finish doesn't have the stupid, insane roads that yesterday's finish did. Otherwise a lot of people are going down and we're going to have another finish decided by luck instead of ability.

The Vuelta organisation said they think the start in Holland was a great succes and they will 'certainly come back soon'.
(well, to be fair, there was a LOT of public)
Btw, the weather is strange, we had a fantastic summer all month long...then the Vuelta start comes -> rain.
