Sergio Paulinho will represent the next 2 years the new RadioShack cycling team, led by Lance Armstrong, confirmed the Portuguese agency Lusa the corridor, which ends contract with Astana at the end of the season.
"I made an agreement for 2 years with RadioShack. Since this is the only proposal that had and given that it was a very good proposal, I chose to sign," said Sergio Paulinho.
The vice-Olympic champion of 2004, which aligned in the last 5 years in the Spanish Liberty Seguros, at the American Discovery Channel and Astana in Kazakhstan, will run alongside of the Spanish Alberto Contador, winner of the Tour de France in 2007 and 2009, that this season had a difficult coexistence with the heptacampeão the Tour, Lance Armstrong.
"I am sad. Where were 5 years working with Alberto Contador ... but life continues. Only had this and could not continue to postpone the decision, because within a short time the teams are closed," he said.
Once you have aligned this season along with Contador and Armstrong, the corridor of Oeiras, 27 years, following his career in the company of the U.S..

Paulinho..why he is keep running after Bruyneel?
George Hincapie and Levi Leipheimer are entertaining the possibility of joining the fast-growing, American-based BMC Racing Team.

Edvald is leaving, that is interesting. If Hincapie leaves, you think he would have some good leadership in the classics....I guess Burghardt is still there....but really. |

Burghardt has also possible team change plans. Like Wyman sayed Sky is option. At least Columbia has signed all great talents..

Ahh ok, well weird then. What will Columbia do if they lose their classics riders...I guess Stapleton seems to find and grow them all over again |

You do realize a DS doesn't race on a bike, right?

So, basically, by recycling employees from the USPS days, Bruyneel and Armstrong have less people to keep on board with regard to "training secrets"? |

It's previously been said that Hincapie may be leaving Columbia for BMC after this season. In an interview with CyclingWeekly, he confirms that he's considering his options, saying that he's trying to find the best solution for him, his family and his company. I guess that the latter could imply that he's going for an American-based and American-orientated team (one which rides primarily in the US).
Speaking of BMC, Leipheimeri s also being connected with the team although I guess it's unlikely with The Shack wanting him too |
