I signed a young rider and checked the trainee button. What is the difference then if I didn't check it?
BTW I checked the Manual and it wasn't in there. Reading the manual it doesn't seem right. In my career I couldn't make offers to teams to buy riders from them. Once October 15th came I could only sign free riders. I assume this is no bug though.
Edit: Looked through Cyanide offical forum and saw AaB-ern asked the same thing and got 1 response saying he race from August to end of season. Is this correct and if so could someone elaborate?

Dont know about the trainee, but you are right about the buying, it was removed, you cant buy riders from other teams.

Yes. Trainees join your team from August. And that's pretty much the only difference, I guess. |

Hello people, I've been lurking around these forums for 2 weeks now and I've decided to sign up now. I have a question but it's not really thread-worthy: Is it possible to put your own music in PCM09? There's a "MyMp3" folder in the PCM09 folder, so this makes me believe there's a possibility? Because damn, PCM's music is so bad, it drives me nuts. |

Yes go to: C:\Program Files\Cyanide\Pro Cycling Manager - Season 2008\Sound\MyMp3 If you have the default installed path |

Well, personally, I'd say that it's a better idea to disabe the music in-game in the Options and then run a MP3 player next to PCM.
This works best if you, like I do, play in windowed mode, though. Otherwise, just put your MP3 files in MyMp3, and it should work. |

Any particular reason why you think it's better to have a player run next to PCM, have you experienced difficulties? |

Well, an external player has several functions that the in-built MP3 player doesn't |

How do you play in windowed mode ?
I'm used to do plety of things while playing PCM, and not being able to go back to the desktop is one (major) reason I'm still playing pcm 08.... |

Many thanks.
I posted too early, the answer was also availlable at "widowed mode" topic in "technical forum". Just checked it works
But many thanks anyway for your help, to me and all the others. |

I have found that you can no longer click on the info for a rider eg- view his stats in race like in pcm 2007. also you cant see the list of riders competing. Is this correct or have i missed it ??? |

To see the rider info, you just click on the small triangle to the right of the riders name in the box on the right hand side of the screen.
To see the list of riders competing, click the space bar when in game

Could someone tell me a good tactic for finsh sprints. I just can't win, my sprinter gets always too tired.
And another question, where can i see if one of my cyclist has improved in an attribute he has been training?
