why is Cunego with the jersey winners? it's not like he won something
Bettini at least is world, italian and olympic champion currently (I probably shouldn't say this again...people might think I actually admire the guy)

Guido: Since it's the last stage I don't think the rules count that much - it's great that they can have some fun after 3 weeks of pain. |

the organisers are always lenient on the last stage. for instance, you're not supposed to ride the wrong way on the course, but they were doing that to get chocolates from the audience

No its not last stage... Big tours last stages is always great to wach and respect the riders who has run thrue this hell (all21 stages).
But in Bettini issue:
his objections to DNA testing and the such like recently
Pettini is drama queen
Cyclist who have done a lot a theathre through the years, who always drags attention and tries to convince people to feel pity against him when he doensn't win (never his fault, but always a conspiracy)
4 times the back luck of any other cyclist (in his opinion) and when he fell he has 5 times more pain then any other human beeing would have (in his opinion).
And ofcorse Italian media...who wants me to see how..Bettini eats changing shoe (still no match ) ..eats..drinks..during chit-chat with fellow riders.
Bot still he is damn good rider.

yes, even when it's against a field of nobodies in a breakaway that the peloton let win, he always has to tell the reporters how there was this enormous difficulty that only the great Bettini could surpass.
about the DNA, I can only laugh at Bettini and others who claim "it's an invasion of your privacy". by those standards, taking your blood or your urine is a much bigger invasion, so it's a pretty bad excuse for refusing to give your DNA.

I'm sorry, but DNA can tell you everything about a person. It is far more personal than blood or urine.

that comparison wasn't supposed to be taken seriously. I was trying to make the point that the DNA thing is in my view quite ridiculous.
what exactly is the problem? what can they do with it to invade your privacy? pretty much nothing.

No, no. arvesen is a very talented rider, along with most of that break.
notice bettini didn't win that one. I was talking about even if the win was easy as could be, he'd still make it sound like only he could do it.
Of course he's a brilliant rider, but it's always irritating when he keeps boasting. sometimes I wish I couldn't speak a word of italian....
then again, I don't. that RAI commentator knows his stuff
