Its probably been mentioned before, but its late at night, i'm tired, and i'm to bothered to check. So just in case it hasn't, Fuji Bikes will be the new title sponsor of the team formerly known as Saunier Duval-Prodir next year. |

Cavendish injures self with "Wii" game
Mark Cavendish is a two-time track World Champion and had the most victories of any rider in the peloton in the 2008 season, but he has come to woe in the off-season because, of all things, of a computer game.
He was playing a snowboarding game on his Nintendo Wii console when he fell from the board and hurt his calf muscle. "It's a pain, but it's a minor injury in the off-season and not a huge problem," Cavendish told eurosport.uk.
The 23-year-old sprinter still plans to join his Team Columbia teammates at a training camp on the island of Mallorca this week, where he will no doubt be the subject of jokes and comments.

Paolo Bettini is supposedly on his way back to cycling -- as team owner of Fuji - Servetto! He's been having conversations with Mauro Gianetti and Joxean Fernández Matxin, and Bettini doesn't deny the rumour.
If that deal goes through, it's like that Acqua & Sapone merges with the Fuji team. Bettini has several friends at Acqua, including Garzelli and Paolini. To this rumour, Bettini answered: "It's better to have less, but better teams." |

Haha, this is hilarious news (although not good news for Danish cycling fans):
IT Factory, co-sponsor of Saxo Bank - IT Factory, has gone bankrupt! And the owner of the company, Stein Bagger, has disappeared and is being seached for by Interpol. According to sources, he's now in Dubai. Just a few days ago, IT Factory presented a profit of 420 million DKR (56 million €).
Stein Bagger will be prosecuted for fraud.
I guess we'll get some Team Saxo Bank reactions later since today is the day that the team presents itself for the press - excellent timing They are also going to showcase their 2009 shirt, so it will be interesting to see if there's any IT Factory logos on it
When I asked Smoothie to make the Saxo Bank - IT Factory logo yesterday, he had problems getting the IT Factory logo because their site was down. Now we know why

Un-sowing the logos from the jerseys in time shouldn't be a problem. Frank's supposed to be good with needles, right? |

Financial crisis? Don't think so. It's more a matter of fraud than financial crisis... |

It's still a weird case. Stein Bagger was on holiday in Dubai with his wife until he one day just disappeared. She reported this to the local authorities which is why Interpol is now involved.
Initial reports said that Saxo Bank would present a budget increase on today's press conference to help the town. Saxo Bank's owner and the guy who negotiated the deal between Riis and Saxo Bank will be at the conference.
But to Ritzau, Saxo Bank has denied wanting to be alone about the sponsorship. About a potential budget increase, co-owner Kim Fournais says that it's "very, very unlikely. The short explanation is that they need a new sponsor. I can say that without exaggerating."
Previously, there's been rumours that CSC wanted to become a secondary sponsor again, and those rumours are now back 'in the game' again due to IT Factory's bankruptcy.
And Riis won't say anything until the press conference later today which was supposed to be about the 2009 team and the new jersey, but which will now be overshadowed by IT Factory's bankruptcy.
