It's not that I care all that much, but I like how an Australian newspaper is the one to bring forward the truth about Denmark's actual 'greenmindness'
... and I hate how Denmark is always linked to fairytales and H. C. Andersen. It's more than 100 years ago that he died, damn it!

If that makes you feel better, over here Denmark isn't linked to that. In fact, it's not linked to anything.
You'll be hard pressed to find anyone who knows anything at all about denmark other than "that's somewhere around the north pole, right?"
EDIT: And Guido, I like how portugal is suddenly fascist in that video
In reality, it's borderline communist.

Just voted for the first time ever in the European elections, good fun. I have been spammed with messages from the green party and the UKIP for the past month though.

When I see their ideas I ask me why this party is authorised.
[edit] If you're talking to me I never said they aren't racists, I think that they are and I find disgusting that so many people like this kind of crap.

What's so wrong with the EU anyways that people aren't supposed to like it. From what i've seen it has nothing but benifits. So we haven't joined the €, doesn't mean we won't.
I actually think we will, but not for at least another 10 years or more.
Also, i've noticed that there is a campaign group to make britains road signs into km by 2012. This won't happen by then. But it has to. We're being brought up thinking in meters and kilometers.
The only reason miles is ever used is for conversion factors.
Well in theory we're brought up to think in metric terms rather than imperial. The amount of imperial still in use though means effectively we need to learn both. The main problem I guess being that USA are still using imperial. (Along with Liberia and Myanmar, but I doubt that has much influence)
