mattiasgt: I don't mean the Swedish experts, I don't have Eurosport until Tuesday, so I don't know what they thought. But on their website at the live updates all the english experts thought that |

Yea, his jersey isn't really different except the yellow stripes, but damn that bike looks like shit.

I, personally, would not at all mind taking that Pinarello off of his hands, although the paint scheme leaves a bit to be desired. Anybody else like the old Spanish champion jersey more than this years? I know I did; it was much easier to spot and much more unique. |

I love the bike. The jersey is like this, because sponsors for spanish teams usually don't want their star riders wearing colors other than those of the sponsor.
Look for pictures of IndurĂ¡in from any of the years when he was champion and you'll see him wearing just stripes on his sleeves and no other indication of being national champion that year.

Oh well, yesterday's stage evolved quite as expected. I felt bad for that debutee French guy who left after 100 km. That must feel horrible. |

Valverde's 1 second time gap screwed the organizers' plan of having the jersey switch shoulders depending on finishing position.
today and tomorrow: sprints.
tuesday: the real tour starts.
also, Soler may have broken a bone and might not start

Notice how everyone trusts Voigt's breakaway instincts. few guys went with Pate for the break, but the second Voigt jumped, about 10 guys tried to follow.

Yeah, Go Soler!
I'd love for him to be able to make the mountains to check out his riding style again
and it's true Voigt is a breakaway expert, any rider who gets in a break with Voigt will imediately get a sense of "this could work" all because Voigt is there
