This is the reason why I support Contador. He doesn't calculate, he just ride |

Thomas wins in Algarve. Attack on the final climb after Taaramäe, dropped him and went solo to the finish. Taaramäe apparently also stayed in front of a reduced peloton. Astana must be pissed, though.
That was a Great win for Geraint |

Contador won. But Froome showed just how good he is. Got gap down from 40sec to 20sec in the end alone. Both not at best fitness level. But a good show indeed. Surprised that Sky did not ask Kennaugh to drop to Froome to pace him. Mayebe they were not confident in him. |

Some decent early season form there from Contador. |

Contador
But 5.99 looks suspicious
What is Froome's W/KG today?

Good result for Kudus there! Starting to really show signs of progression towards becoming a very decent rider. Contador looking strong early on this year as well looking at that 5.99 W/KG. |

If Basso and Paulinho didn't do such a great job for Bertie at the bottom, Froome.exe would've won. |

I disagree with you. Contador may outsprint Froome like he did on Vuelta |

Tony won a close 19km ITT in Algarve. Thomas was fastest at halfway but faded still remains the race leader

Richie being beaten by both Swift and Puccio
Malori stepping nicely, shame for him not to take the win but he's almost there. Tour prologue will be some fight for the yellow.

Just watched that Andalucia stage back a couple of points:
- For me Contador went a bit too early, that said he rides on instinct and seeing as he had about 50m on Froome at the time he wanted detachment. Might he pay for that effort tomorrow? Or will he justy follow and then blast like Vuelta stage 20?
- Contador and Froome are on a different planet to the other climbers here. Cannot see Contador on form being beat at all at the Giro - Uran perhaps, not seen enough from him though on the really tough climbs. I have this bad feeling that Contador doing Giro will sap his Tour strength and it will be left the Quintana (concerned about him after San Luis beating) to do the battle with the dark side Sky at the Tour.
- Froome did okay, this drop off then try to catch Bertie style is not really working. But that is his and team sky's way I guess. Like the contrast between the bouncing Conta and the diesal freak Froome.
- Kudus with the Q on his back - loved to see him going well, likewise Bardet and Kennaugh.
- Movistars C string riders not good enough of course. Thought they would go a bit better.

If Valls performance was, hum, interesting... What can we say about this? |

It's a comparatively new race which takes place in the middle of February. I'm not sure how much you can read into it... |

@Oman: Massive tailwind? Anyhoo, Nibali sucks again in early season lol
Watched the Rute de Sol stage just now, nice climb there. Great win for Contador, his form is fantastic already. Too good too early? We'll find out. I'm surprised that Basso has proven to be useful. Froome with some nice riding as well.

How terrible was the cars getting in the way of the riders of the final descent of the Rute De Sol? Thankfully it wasn't raining. |
