Cyclo-Cross: A New Dawn | END
Luis Leon Sanchez
Nothing wrong with the length of the report. Will read it properly once I am off my phone and have more time. It's great to see the effort you put in Ian, see this is why you get so much interest in everything you do. I don't think Tembi managed to finish again or Bakari for that matter.

Thanks a lot Wink

Oh and about Max Power's injury - I left it open (just taken to hospital) and I'll wait for the user to include it in his role-playing. Let him decide how bad it is. Smile that's the way I want to work with this story. I want to include many details in the reports, but the reaction is up to you.

Just noticed something. Didn't Guido abandon?

Ah that sounds cool, I'm sure TMM has something interesting to write for that. Smile

Cycleman: Was a mistake, corrected already, SN noticed it, too Wink thanks

Well it goes without saying that I enjoyed that report. I think Elliot's attack early on made the race what it was... So in part created the selection which gave him and vague a chance for the win.

what I liked about the report: the details on the technical sections. You kept wondering what was going to happen on the jumps and that steep small climb. The tension at end was awesome but no problems losing to vague really.

What would have made it better - possibly a quick review every quarter of where pretty much everyone is. You did it better in some ways in this latest report. As SN says I don't feel there is such a thing as too longer report.

Glad you liked it Grin
Next race will be interesting because it's a completely different profile. Finally the flat, powerful riders can come out to play. Expect some different names.

Also, Maybe I'll explore the "overview" part in the next reports. Maybe I can do a halfway check of where everyone is, in a quote-box or something.

Also: fantastic news that Bakari will spew up all the eaten sand so he can be in tomorrow's race! Pfft

SportingNonsense also did something interesting with C. Schiltz, might check it out. Apparently there is a U23 race in the Netherlands where he will go instead of Hertford Classic. Other riders who want to join in, let me know, or through role-playing. If enough participate, I will include the result of that race, too Wink

Cool! Was going to say here that any other mid/low-pack U23 riders are welcome to join. The U23 whizz-kids can stay in the Elite field though, please Pfft

My plan was just to make up the result, including any other riders whose media posts suggested they were going to that race instead. And if nobody else did then an easy meaningless win for Schiltz Pfft I'll still do that, if it doesn't end up featuring in Ian's post.

We'll see how the other riders decide. If enough participate, it might be interesting enough to include in the result. If not, I won't mention it (except to explain the absence) and you can make up the result.

Unless you really want to do it - you came up with it in the end Smile but then I hope we don't create a dangerous precedent and all riders suddenly compete in other races and win everything there Pfft

visconit only races belgian, dutch and french races. the u23 race would be cool but after his crash, i think he needs a day rest. next time definitely, nice idea SN!

Interesting post from the Cookie Monster. Obviously he's still pumped about the race and especially his "fight" with Verboven. Wisely, he doesn't mention it, though. Maybe Verboven will, though, having been brought to a stand still because of Cook's move.

Love Cook's "respect" for the granddad Cornelis, who can crawl along if he likes Pfft

Fair point, this detail had slipped my mind... Nice detail too a shame I forgot to mention it. I think Elliot chooses to think about finish and his thoughts at the start of the race. In between us sort of like a blur.

Obviously I'm referring to you, and your nonsensical posts. Clearly I'm not referring to some random rider who is over 23, when talking about an Under 23 race, and I don't think I've ever used the word "whizz" in a post in this website before either, never mind referred to someone as it.

I've no idea which cyclists who've finished in the Top 10/15 in the two races so far are U23 - I think Shonak's Vague might be, but don't know besides that - but whoever they are, I wouldn't expect them to be interested in doing a meaningless U23 race rather than the Hertford Classic.
