Nibali is a fantastic rider and will be one of the great grand tour riders, he has proved himself at the Vuelta and the Giro, and we all know you need to be a strong rider to win the Giro these days, he almost averages a grand tour win a year. Even if he didn't win the Tour this year, I always believe that one day he will but I think unless he crashes, which you never know now then he should win this edition and enter the list of rider to win all three grand tours, and deservedly so too
Oh, you mean the Vuelta where he let a 40year old man beat him.
Riiiiight, and dont come with the "but he was sick" thats just BS. |

Wasn't it La Fleche when Tony and Kwiato suddenly opened a gap a made Team Time Trail for a few kms after one of the hills? Looks like a trained tactic. |

So that makes Nibali (most likely) undeserved winner? You're surprising me more and more every day. It's just ridiculous.
Yes it does because he won by default, there are no one left.
Once you get older you will learn that winning is not really winning if you win because the others don't compete.
OMG, ur the most arrogant cunt ever... Nibali could have won even withOut the crashes...
I agree, he already was 2 mins up, BUT today is the first real mountains so we would've known after today for real.
He is lucky that the others crashed, but yeah, he is a great bike handler and not crashing is a quality aswell.
Not fair to say that Contador "crashed" if his bike literally brook into 2 pieces
I would like to see you guys ride only on the backwheel without a handle
Not confirmed thats Why he crashed though....
True. Also why i wrote "if his bike"
But you are right, we still don't know for sure |

I'm sorry but whenever I ask someone who won the 1980 tour, they say Joop Zoetemelk, not some guy who won because Hinault got injured.
Im sorry but whenever i ask who won the 1980 Tour i get "what? who cares" and its not because they just don't follow cycling.
And how much google did you have do for that post. |

It's not even worth entering a discussion with you, there is more chance of England winning the World Cup than attempting a discussion with you. If you don't like it or don't agree you come out with idiotic stuff like that. Sort yourself out if you want a discussion with me otherwise I ain't interested in what you have to say. Your posts are if a 10 year old. A load of rubbish with no point being made. Just wants attention.

i think some belgian guy at OPQS screwed up some language when presenting this years tour route to tony martin. looks like they told him that the tour was just one long tt this year, instead of the tour only has one long tt this year. |

In terms of the Specialized thing it is worth noting that the French TV report that everyone else has latched onto may have been mistranslated. It could be the first of these:
I don't see the actual difference between these...
In the second one there is causation - he has crashed because his bike broke in two. In the first one he may have crashed and thus the brike was broken in the process.
Not that clear, could've been his bike broke in two because he crashed.
Get your point though.

He is so strong. Like Wiggins. TdF 2012 was suited for him. But crash cost him time. |

It seems like the last few years this race has been won before the first rest day We've gotta hope Valverde, Mollema, Porte etc. get a real boost to form (and no other forms of boost ) so we actually have a an exciting 2 weeks to go.
