Yes, Tom was trying his utmost at the end, and Gert was just easing in

And why he should..if you are "trainman" in TdF were all aces are in. They pull team main sprinter has hard they can has long they can..and they stop working when others go over. But nobody didn't so... Strong ride for Gert..and surprise present for Boonen or team are rubish. |

I guess the race of truth is today. flat finish, so we'll probably start to see a trend. then again, with Freire and McEwen both injured, who knows... |

extract from today's paper, translated by myself:
Vinokourov: "I'm not too worried about the future of the team. the doping accusations are ridiculous. whether people like it or not, this team is here to stay. all we need is a few extra quality riders and this team will be set for years to come"
[Reporter asks who he has in mind]
Vinokourov: "just this morning i was telling Paulinho that once his contract is up we'd love him back"
[Reporter asks why in that case did they not renew Paulinho's contract last season]
Vinokourov: "we tried. he answered us he thought the team wouldn't continue and as such has already signed with Bruyneel"
[Reporter asks what Sergio brings to the team]
Vinokourov: "he's a fabulous rider and most of all we admire his never say die attitude. he is one of the world's best but doesn't realize it yet"
sorry, but I felt it was my turn to toot the national horn
EDIT: just noticed another part that is also of interest:
[Reporter asks about the statements of team manager Marc Biver about the team having two leaders]
Vinokourov: "there is ONE leader here. that's me. and that's final" *walks away looking pissed*

As Paulinho is your fellow countryman to you prefer Astana for him compared to team Bruyneel. To be honest I cant stand Discovery in real life. Every time when co-owner Lance opens his mouth...there is only stupidity wich comes out. |

That's way I am repeating myself: Klöden is steped in wrong boat. that is shure when Vino marks that he isn't good enough to win and he have to choose to make is this gonna be german or kasahh. What to you think wich one he will choose. Team name talks for himself

they were probably going to get caught. but now that willems was idiotic enough to attack and destroy the collaboration, they're definitely doomed. |

So now we will hopefully get a full pack sprint (hopefully no crash)
My money is on McEwen, but I hope Cavendish can get into the top 5 or maybe top 3.
