Congrats Sutty.
Any news on when San Luis will start? Noticed Neilstar ain't been online for a while.
I'm always available for report making if he can't do it, though it would have to be PCM 2011. |

TOUR OF QATAR
Stage Favorites
***** Mark Cavendish
The Manx Missile is the best sprinter of all time. The former World Champion headlines the race and will be looking to take as much as possible. Cav's brings the best team with him, supported by Tom Boonen, Alessandro Pettachi and Geert Steegmans in the sprint.
**** Marcel Kittel
The upstart from Germany is one of the very best in the business. Still yet to break through at the highest levels Kittel will be looking to take away some wins here. Argos supply him with plenty of support such as Ramon Sinkeldam and Jonas Ahlstrand
*** Matthew Goss
Matty Goss has not quite reached that 2011 form since, but he is still a top rated sprinter. Goss packs a punch and must be watched in the finale. Matty gets good team support from Daryl Impey, Michael Matthews and Allan Davis
** Fabian Brookes
Newcomer Fabian Brookes is a total unknown. He looks like he has speed but is as yet unproven, with Qatar being a rough introduction to the peloton. Fabian doesn't get quite as good support, but can rely on Tom O'Callaghan and Stefano Colbrelli.
* Bryan Coquard
Bryan Coquard is rising rapidly through the ranks, bagging some serious wins already. The Frenchman is very fast indeed and will be looking to upset the established sprinters. Europcar can provide aid in the shape of Sebastian Chavanel and Sebastian Turgot
GC Favorites
***** Mark Cavendish
The Missile is the deadliest finisher, which should net bonus seconds. But OPQ's time trial team is the best here as it includes World Champion Tony Martin.
**** Marcel Kittel / Matthew Goss
Kittel is the quicker sprinter, but Goss has the better time trial team. Arogs will be relying on Gretsch, while Orica can look to Tuft and Durbridge
*** Taylor Phinney / Thor Hushovd
The BMC pair have to be watched. Both are super strong on the flat, and can pack a punch at the line. BMC also are very strong in the time trial with Pinotti and Bookwalter aiding
** Giacomo Nizzolo / Fabian Cancellara
Nizzolo is very fast indeed and can surprise the big sprinters. Spartacus is just Spartacus. Add in Roulston and Sergent for the time trial and watch out
* Max Richeze / Mario Guido
Richeze has a good kick, as does Mario. Neither looks to win, but perhaps podiums for some seconds. Lampre boast Malori to time trial, and MTN Shafiq and Schmidt
Pre-Race Thoughts
Expect high speeds and winds. Combined echelons are not far away, which means positioning and strength are key. There are lot more strong riders attending, such as Ballan, Haller and Markus. The TTT will makes some gaps and eliminate many riders from the chase. But the possibility of a breakaway is enticing and could really spoil the show. The fastest race on the calendar is set... The riders are on their marks.... So lets go!!!

I see what you did there. Are you?
I was hoping for a weaker startlist here with it being a smaller race but wow, that is an incredible list of talent. The smaller teams are going to get hammered here. |

Cavendish vs Kittel will be interesting in the desert.
TMM make sure you don't simulate the TTT (Most people do), I wanna see RadioShack blitz the course. |

@the rider - All stages are 3D played!!! ALWAYS, BY EVERYONE!!! But my money's on Quickstep though. Radioshack will be up there, hope Cancellara has a good day.

And of course, we are taking there our best squad. We promised it to the organisers for one big fat cheque.

Any chance we could live streams or videos to go along with the reports? Could be a lot of fun with people watching and discussing on twitch, just an idea...
Cav vs Kittel, here we go

It has crossed my mind but it's unlikely for Qatar

Also, don't expect any Qatar before Monday. Handball match Saturday, new job Sunday and Roule Britannia to advance a bit.
