So here I am, in lovely Buenos Aires, where I belong. I was ill for a bit, just a cold which I probably contracted on the plane. Apparently Dalivier got injured in training, and Darwin also got ill. There was definitely something on that plane...
Anyway, I've been here for a few weeks now, and after resting up I started training again. I rode the queen stage of the Tour de San Luis today, with a much better time than at this point last year, and even better than my race time. Keep in mind I did this one alone, with no-one to slipstream. Anyway, not much else than that. Just thought I'd update you guys on what's going on. Apparently the management is looking to get some new trainers, with our new budget of 106,100 euros every month.

No, not shoes. The team has recruited 2 legendary trainers to help keep the team in the WorldTour beyond next season. The team's best riders have been divided into groups to be trained in either Stage Racing or Sprinting.
Eto Bazoue: Atapuma, Chalapud, Chaves, Melani
(Iceland) Eyolfur Thorteiassen: Duque, Avila, Grazhys, Pantano, Jagoba

Well, not for our DS, anyway. It was revealed that he was behaving in a ride manner towards the riders (no sh*t!) and has been dismissed from the team effective immediately. Also effective immediately, our new DS will now take charge. You may know him .
Oh right, his name... Sean Kelly.
Having an Irishman in charge of a strongly Colombian team may seem odd, but I personally believe that under his and our trainers' guidance we can truly become a great team.

So as I said I met with Mr Kelly yesterday at the team HQ in Bogota, and we have devised my racing schedule up until the end of the Giro, just like last season.
Tour de San Luis, 21/01 - 27/01
As I hope to do for the whole of my career, I will start of the season at home, where I have been training for the last month.
Vuelta Ciclista a Mallorca, 03/02 - 06/02
I then travel to Spain for this short stage race.
Vuelta a Andalucia, 17/02 - 20/02
I will stay in Spain for another 4 day stage race, where I will apparently get the chance to lead.
Tirreno-Adriatico, 06/3 - 12/03
My first World Tour race. I will ride here in support of Atapuma.
GP de Cholet, 17/03
I will then have the chance to defend my title here in France.
GP del Navarra, 30/03
I will also ride Navarra again. I might lead, but that is yet undecided.
Vuelta Ciclista a Pais Vasco, 01/04 - 06/04
My main objective for this season. I probably won't lead here, but another WT race will be good for my learning curve.
La Fleche Wallone, 17/04
The second of the Ardennes classics, and possibly the easiest - if you can call an Ardennes classic that.
Liege-Bastogne-Liege, 21/04
Now probably the toughest. I expect to have difficulty here.
Vuelta a la Communidad de Madrid, 04/05
As the Giro starts, I will ride and hopefully lead back in Spain, for a very difficult race.
Glava Tour of Norway, 16/05 - 20/05
I will definitely lead the 6 day race, where I can probably make something happen.

Lucca
We had just the one training camp this year. We went to Lucca in Italy to get fit for the upcoming season. I lodged with Virgilijus and Alexis Camacho. We worked on every aspect of riding, whether we specialised in it or not, and now we are truly ready for the season ahead.

The Leaders
John Darwin Atapuma
Terrain: Mountains
Darwin is our best rider without a doubt. He's our go-to guy for important races, and we hope that he can continue his form from last year.
Robinson Chalapud
Terrain: Mountains
Robinson is our 2nd best climber and will lead many, many races this year. He may also help Atapuma in big races like the Giro.
Esteban Chaves
Terrain: Hills
Despite still being very young, Esteban falls into this category with his outstanding ability. He will lead the team in the Vuelta, and also probably most Continental races.
Young Stars
Fabio Melani
Terrain: Hills
Meeeee! After my breakthrough season I am now ready to kick it up a notch. I'll mainly ride Continental races, but I also have my fair share of World Tour action, including the Tour de France.
Virgilijus Grazhys
Terrain: Flat or small hills
After breaking into the team late last season, the World's BEST U23 rider is definitely ready for the big stage.
Jagoba Aurrekoetxea
Terrain: Flat
Jagoba is already the best sprinter on the team, and will make his professional debut this season after finishing 2nd behind Virgilijus in the U23 circuit last year by only 2 points.
The Rest
Leonardo Duque
Edwin Avila
Duber Quintero
Carlos Quintero
Alexis Camacho
Juan Sebastian Arango
Jeffry Johan Romero
Juan Pablo Suarez
Michael Rodriguez Galindo
Jarlinson Pantano
Wilson Marentes
Dalivier Ospina
Juan Pablo Valencia
