Custom Team Careers are totally awesome now. You can start at WT Level now and the youth riders are actually half decent for a team right away. |

I agree Custom Teams are much better and now there is more jersey choices.
Well I started a custom team career. I'm using a Colombian team with Quintana, Betancur, Henao, and Uran as the leaders. I also then made a solid cobble team with Stybar, Thomas, Stanndard, Kwaitozski, and Taylor Phinney. After that it's my favorite riders who aren't leaders like Pozzovivo and Taaramae plus all the useful Colombians available.

Definitely. Also started a WT custom team with 4 "neopros" and they're looking pretty good.
Though I bumped Argos back to PCT in my database, how is the game coping with 20 WT teams? Still 3 wildcards for the Tour? |

I've got 6 neos, all of them are good for HCs and one is a good enough leadout out for WT. Infact, his so awesome that when my sprinter crashed in the lead in to the first stage of the TDU, he finished it off himself.
Yay for 20 yo old belgian neopros taking a win on debut XD. So tempting to start a one man story on him XD |

Finally got the game and as soon as the next (final?) patch and DB is out I will start a custom career with an all-french team with nothing but young talents.
I will also start doing my "Project 2100".

Custom team, you said? This is what I got. Most of the team is the same core. Some went away to different teams, like a former world champ. It's only scouted riders, and myself that I added (with very low stats.)

Ok. So I started with Sky for once (yeah... I know... bit easy). And it's absolutely ridicolous.
I'm not a excellent PCM player. I once was at PCM 08 (won nearly every elimination I played and not bad in road stages (especially mountain) either). But in most other versions normal mode was enough for me.
Now with Sky.. it's far too easy. I'm now in the Tour. I've played all WT races..
I've won nearly every WT race except RVV, PR, AGR, WP and Dauphine.
Biggest suprise was winning E3 and GW with Hagen (after being way behind on the last cobble stroke, team closed the gap). And a 1-2-3 in LBL with Henao, Uran and Porte (say hi Gewiss).
I've also won the Tirreno with 10 minutes advantage to Nibali wtih Froome.
And I'm now absolutely dominating the Tour with Froome as well against Contador and Rodriguez. Porte is 4th, Wiggins 5th. Stats wise they are all overperforming under my management.
Since when has normal mode become so incredibly easy. I'm playing most of the stages x8 with PCM (all versions) which usually meant I suck (not enough concentration). But in PCM 2013 it doesn't matter. Hold position 84% in most of the stage. Last mountain dot between 75-84 and you win even with lower statted riders. |

On PCM2011 I scouted two norwegian riders; Vegard Gran with 84TT and 74HILL and Andreas Eriksen with 81MO.
I was considering a norwegian team, but it's so hard getting good riders. With France I think I'll be able to get a few more talents, especially GT-talents.

See Real Life.
The rest of the pack is stupid and tries to beat you up mountains with crazy attacks. The only time you ever attack is just to drop someone of your wheel for a second.
It can be a bit crazy, but if you playing with Sky, not unrealistic really lol. Its when you play as a non-sky team and win by dotting up a mountain whilst Wiggins burns out trying to attack you XD.
It was worse in PCM11 though. I find I usually need to put in an accel or two to make the elite selection if no-one else does, and then nearly alway need to make the break with an accel rather then just dotting them off my wheel. |

last 2 years if u start with a custom team , it is enough to send a great scout in the first year of carrer to find a big sponsor for the second year (without good result too), this stupid bug is already present? or is it fixed?
a custom team should need several years and great results before to get a good sponsor!!!!

Guys, I've got myself a small problem.
I always lose(parts of) my motivation when I have completely new stats. That is, a DB, or edited myself. That's what I've done, I've (roughly) edited the Tour stats. Now(though it's also because I haven't played with it for quite a long time, since holiday etc.), I lost my motivation. This happened more often than just this time

You're like me then. Or you have the same problem. You want to be always up to date and are a perfectionist. When you try to play a long career and notice some talent of nowadays having horrible stats, you get fed up with the career and eventually quit it.
Or you notice some flaws, or in the stats system, and decide to edit everything..
I always have the problem with most db's i don't like the matrix. F.ex in my current career the gap between contador/froome and the rest is too big. Not 1'30 minutes but 3/4 minutes in most tdf stages. It's ridicolous |

Yeah.
that's what I like about it. you completly split for realisme. which I find amusing. Cav at Euskaltel, stuff like that. also I don't care about stats so maybe that will help
edit: and besides why would you play the game if you want realism. if you want realist results then it's better to watch the real thing

I share SSJ2Luigi's view. As soon as I start the career, it's an alternate reality.
However I'm having some serious motivational problems, too. I'm trying to build a costum team (Citigroup pack), but I've already had 4 different teams which didn't last 2 months.
Leaving for a holiday soon, maybe a fresh start when I get back, though. |

Cool, how do you start a career with a costum team?
And I see what you guys mean. Though it's not as bad as with Ruben with me, not everything has to be 100% realistic, but I don't want anything to be way off. I can always edit some stats in careers that are way off, but I prefer not to. I wouldn't abandon a career because of a few stats that are off, though, after Le Tour, I really have to start a career with new stats. Also, I got a small talent obsession, so the big talents have to have stats that they deserve
