Sagan says his win in the last stage is the gift for his younf fan Alex Shephard from Oregon, who is fighting with brain cancer and is the big fan of cycling. He sent him a message: "Forza Alex, this is for you" and Alex is said to be delighted to hear that from his idol.

So Forza Alex, good luck in your fight, more important than any race!
