Impressive ride by Nordhaug today also. Kristoff and Nordhaug have been the best norwegians this spring. Hushovd and EBH havent done much! |

I still want to know, who was the Blanco rider in the group?(About 12th) Mollema or Nordhaug? Commentary said both names once...

Gilbert's Attack was crazy and yet Gerrans and Valverde could stick with him.
wonder what happened to that Katusha rider up the hill, did he pop out of his pedal? |

I think it was the tv transmission of the race, with very few peloton footage, that gave it some kind of weird feeling. There is definitely more chance for late breaks to use tactical advantages in this course, I don't think it is that bad, some of the fault lies in the lack of work from some teams earlier on. Had they known Sagan would implode...
This has to be attacked from further out now, the last climb isn't enough for a favorite to drop guys on his wheel.
I'm ok with a week which has 3 very different races in 3 days. |

How did EBH do after all that talk that he could win this?
I always seem to come in at the "perfect" time so that I can neither enjoy the final kms, nor can I avoid spoilers to be able to watch the race at a later time without knowing the result and thus enjoying it more.

I'm 99% sure the results aren't completely correct. There was definitely a Sky rider in 6th.

Absolutely impressive the end of the race of Valverde and Gilbert. What a pity the last world championship, if Valverde didnĀ“t waited for Freire and decided followed Gilbert when he attacked, I think he would be now the world champion. Today I think movistar and bmc let all the work in the peloton to cannondale, and they have been punished for it. Both of them should be more agressive, on the peloton or attacking with riders as Quntana, Rui Costa, Van Avermaert or Oss. |

It was Caruso who broke his chain I believe.
Massive ride by Kreuziger! Gerrans and Valverde also impressed me when they could hang on to Gilbert.
But where on earth was Peter Sagan?

Didn't some Czech dude win the Tour de Suisse and Romandie a few years ago? How was his name?
Well, it's hard to compare it, but in my opinion this win is the greatest result of all Roman's win, a win in one of Ardennes classics, that's amazing. It's in my opinion bigger win than his wins in TdS and TdR and his stage win in Giro as well, but that were huge results indeed as well.
Same with Hruska's wins in Giro and Svorada's wins in all 3 GTs, you can't unfortunetely compare results of Czech cyclists in Peace Race and another races pre-1989..
But who cares in the end.. what a result..

I'm starting to think something happened to Sagan. A mechanical, crash or something like that.
He is nowhere to be seen when Gilbert attacks on the Cauberg. The Cannondale rider who tries to respond but cracks immediately is Moser, unless my eyes are deceiving me. Sagan wasn't even in the group by then, as far as I could see.
