The route for Liège-Bastogne-Liège has been changed because of roadworks. There will be no Côte de la Roche-aux-Faucons this year

Damn. Well apparently they will be climbing the Côte de Colonster instead, so it's not that bad. Hopefully this will force them to try to break the race in La Redoute.

Leaving aside how ridiculous it is for the Tour of Poland to start in Trentino, it's a nice route. Although Pordoi without Fedaia should be forbidden, imo.
And a finish in Rzeszów, nice. It might be a good reason to extend my stay over there in summer.

It's already got the Pampeago and the Costalunga. You want the Marmolada too? What is this, the Giro?

I like this new trend where races take place in every country except the country they are supposed to be in!

I never have enough when it's Fedaia we're talking about.

*snipped dog*
That dog has reached the pinnacle of evolution! He can now spot bones, tennis balls and humpable legs in all directions!
On topic; I feel it just ruins some of the fun of having a race in a certain country where there is atleast one stage taking place in a completely different country. Perhaps they are taking a lead from FIFA who'll be organizing the Euro-championship in 10 different countries or something.

Damn, last AGR wildcard goes to Accent Jobs-Wanty.
Would've fancied Ciolek's chances there.

Yeah, all he would need for success is some rubber band, with which he would connect his bike to Sagan's, then cut it 300 metres before the line.
Nah, i think it would be too much hilly for him anyway...
Edit: Tour of Pologne in Italy is complete stupidity, just like the dog's look.

Don't forget they changed the AGR with the finish after the Cauberg, Ciolek would have had a realistic chance I believe.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

I have that in mind, just it does not change much on fact, that there are like 100 hills on the route and since where and when we think Ciolek is to able to ride that with the best? San Remo was almost without climbs this year, or at least not so much one after another.
He could be up there, or gone 30 kms before the line, hard to tell.

I agree. He won San Remo and is having a good year, but AGR? Don't forget Sagan is participating...
Love your avater, Avin |

I actually agree with Cio. Imo Ciolek could do well in a course like AGR. He changed from being a pure sprinter with better puncheur skills to a decent "puncheur" with better sprint skills.
Obviously not on the level of the real puncheurs.
But the hills in AGR proved to be spritner friendlier than others. In top form I still wouldn`t expect him to win there as other guys like Sagan in especially are too strong. But top10 or even a podium would be possible I think. |
