I agree, it would be nice Our sponsor want a victory, but I think, at least a Top5 would be already a success!
The first really good time is set by Alex Rasmussen - 10'51"
Jos Van Emden was amazing, beating Rasmussen by 10 seconds - 10'41", the new besttime!
One of the several tt-specialists from the Sky-squad, Geraint Thomas - 10'52". Sergio Paulinho (background) also perform well today - 11'00"
Prologue-specialist, Brett Lancaster - 10'49"
Christophe Moreau (still wondering why he takes part at The Giro) sets a good time - 10'55"
Our second portuguese rider finished with the same time as Sergio - 11'00"
Peter Sagan - 10'52"
Ignatas Konovalovas - 10'53"
One of the top favourites for the GC, Vincenzo Nibali, and he already shows his abilities - a great 10'42", only one second behind the best time by Van Emden
The norwegian champ, Edvald Boasson Hagen - 10'46"
Two italian GC-contender, Domenico Pozzovivo - 11'23" and Stefano Garzelli - 11'14".
Luis Léon Sánchez - 10'49"
The crowd was happy as they saw the italian champ, Marco Pinotti, who was able to set the new besttime - 10'40"!
Bradley Wiggins, my tip for todays stage - 10'45"
Levi Leipheimer, our leader today, showed that he is a favourite for the overall - 10'44", a great time, knowing that I am poor at short time trials.
The last guy who came in today, Ivan Basso, was only trying to limit the damage - 10'56"

What to say about the first stage of the Giro? Nice that the italian champ can win here. Nibali was incredible strong, Leipheimer and Wiggins showed that they have the shape to shine here. Paulinho and Machado could reach their goal either, both finished in the Top20.

@StijnDevolder13
I think it is nice then a nationel champ can show his jersey and take the victory at home races, so I am happy for Pinotti. Well, I think an american rider will win, guess who
@FreitasPCM
Thank you I think it is a well performance, because I expected a more worse result (due to my weak abilities at short tts).
9. May
Giro d'Italia
Stage 2: Amsterdam - Utrecht, 205,1 km
Really flat stage, the flatest in the whole Giro. Because there are not to much flat stages in the Giro, I do not think that a break away has a good chance, so we ecpect a bunch sprint here.
Team goals:
- Top 10 (Impey)
- No time loss (Leipheimer, Machado, Paulinho)
Favourites: Alessandro Petacchi, Óscar Freire, Robbie McEwen, Daniele Bennati, Edvald Boasson Hagen
My tip: Alessandro Petacchi.

@tsmoha and baia
Thank you both
Depart in Amsterdam.
Todays breakaway: Romain Sicard (Euskaltel), Pablo Lastras (Caisse d'Epargne), Paul Voss (Milram), Lucas Sebastián Haedo (SaxoBank), Jurgen Van de Walle (QuickStep), Mirco Selvaggi (Astana) and Pasquale Muto (Miche).
They reached a maximal lead of seven and a half minute.
Katusha (even with McEwen), Rabobank and Lampre were the teams which worked to gain grond on the peloton.
It started to rain. And with 22km left, the breakaway accelerated again!
But with 13,5km left, the peloton is again the leading group.
5km to go. The sprinters now positioned theirself to have a chance in the sprint.
And with 2,8km to go, we sprint begin! Impey was already tired from the positioning, it was clear that he will be not able to get a to good position...
1km to the line, and we can see now who are the guys for a victory in a flat stage here. At the left DAnilo Napolitano, then Edvald Boasson Hagen, Alessandro Petacchi at his backwheel, Robert Hunter and at the right Francesco Failli and Francesco Ginanni.
Ginanni, Boasson Hagen, Failli and Napo slowed down, while Petacchi accelerates! It will be a close one between himself and Hunter.
It was close, but after looking at the replay, the organisators declares Robert Hunter to the stage winner!
Results:

You are right But I can never be sure, one crash or something similar, and I can easily lost time. I do not want to win because one of the other favourites crashed either
10. May
The ASO announces that all 18 PT-Teams guaranteed their participation at this years Tour de France. They decided to assign two wildcards. Applicants for the two wildcards are: BMC, Bbox, Cervélo, Cofidis, Palmeiras and Vacansoleil.
So probably a TdF without the world champ Evans or 2008-winner Sastre, becase the ASO want probably two ther french teams at their race.
Giro d'Italia
Stage 3: Amsterdam - Middelburg
The last stage in the Netherlands is a flat either. Just as yesterday, we will see a bunch sprint at the finish, and if there are no crashes, punctures or problems with the wind, there shold be no important GC changes today.
Team goals:
- Top 10 (Impey)
- No time loss (Leipheimer, Machado, Zubeldia)
Favourites: Alessandro Petacchi, Edvald Boasson Hagen, Óscar Freire, Robert Hunter, Daniele Bennati
My tip: After yesterdays second, Petacchi should be motivated to archive his first GT-stage win 2010.

Depart in Amsterdam, Bauke Mollema looks quite sad knowing that today is the last stage in the netherlands.
Todays breakaway in the beautyful city of Rotterdam: Vicente Reynès (Colombia), Assan Bazayev (Astana), Frank Hoj (SaxoBank), Gerben Löwik (Omega Pharma), Roberto Cesaro (Miche), Markus Eichler (Milram), Chris Sutton (Sky) and Pablo Urtasun (Euskaltel). The rider between them and the peloton is Andreas Stauff (QuickStep).
Group Löwik; +1'19" Stauff; +8'54" P.
Spoiler
Vicente Reynès (Colombia) 8
Assan Bazayev (Astana) 6
Frank Hoj (SaxoBank) 4
Gerben Löwik (Omega Pharma) 3
Roberto Cesaro (Miche) 2
Like yesterday, Rabobank, Lampre and Katusha set the pacemakers for the pack.
Group Löwik; +4'44" Stauff; +6'40" P.
Stauff slowed down and get caught of the peloton.
Group Löwik; +2'25" P.
Spoiler
Frank Hoj (SaxoBank) 8
Christopher Sutton (Sky) 6
Roberto Cesaro (Miche) 4
Vicente Reynès (Colombia) 3
Gerben Löwik (Omega Pharma) 2
The breakaway is almost caught, but we saw a notable attack from Gerben Löwik! He really give all to show himself in his home country.
Löwik; +37" Group Reynès; +1'12" P.
But with 15km to go, even Löwik is caught.
It was quite funny. Impey tried today to get Petacchis backwheel, but he fools us with staying at Impeys backwheel...
The sprint begin with 2km to the line, Jos Van Emden and Mauro Finetto builded up a sprint train at the right fastly, and they were so fast Impey can not react directly, so we lost a good sprint position... Lets see what he was able to do...
1km to the finish, and it gets really surprising. It seems that Petacchi and Benatti had really worse legs today, Óscar Freire accelerated and only Ginanni and Failli were fast enough to hold contact with Óscar.
Freire gives today a lesson at the whole bunch... Amazing performance of the former world champion.
My game crashed after the stage, so only short results today. Sorry

Thank you all for the comments
Well, the last flat stage would be stage 18, maybe Daryl can show his potential (He have to, his contract expire, and with Nennesson and Dreßel, I have already two other talented sprinters). Even more better if he can win the last TT in Verona
11. May
The first rest day of the Giro d'Italia 2010, probably only to transport the rider from the Netherlands to Italy in time.
Race results:
Spoiler
U23 - Tour de Berlin
Stage 4:
1.) Hector Salgado (ESP) 5h22'48"
2.) Eduard Kilikevich (UKR) +0"
3.) Ivan Maifredi (ITA) +0"
12. May
Well, I did not want to sign any other young rider, but after a second in the U23 Ronde van Vlaanderen, a lot of good results at flat stages and the fact that he is a german rider (maybe the next Zabel, who knows?), we signed Randolf Dreßel as Trainee, he come to our equipe in August. He will be probably the last guy I signed, if we did not find a talented american rider (If you want a rider of one country, please post!).
A bit weaker in the sprints as Nennesson, but way better on hills and recuperation. Also we have to look how he can develop himself at the cobbles, maybe he can also be a good rider there. Finally, a good sprinter and way better than Nennesson for grand tours!
Giro d'Italia
Stage 4: Savigliano - Cuneo, 31,5 km TTT
The finish is 200m over the start, but at least, it is quite flat. It is also the first important stage for all the GC rider and their teams, to try already to get a good time gap (Liquigas, TheShack) or to limit the damage (Acqua&Sapone, Colnago-CSF)
Team goals:
- Top 5 (No time loss to Liquigas, maybe even gain some time)
Favourites: Caisse d'Epargne, HTC-Colombia, Sky Professional Cycling Team, Rabobank, Team RadioShack
My tip: With Plaza, Moreau, Bruseghin and Sánchez, Caisse d'Epargne has much good time trialers and the deserved top favourite.

@Porte and baia
Thank you
Well, it is already a success for Miche that they get a wildcard for a GT, but it was clear that they have no chance today. They caming in with a 48'58" (Finally the last place).
Damage limitation, that was todays goal of Acqua&Sapone. Of course they beat Miche, the new besttime from Acqua & Sapone - 48'13"
Unexpected strong performance today from Colnago-CSF, they set the new besttime - 47'44"
It will be a hard Giro for Astana. No really strong rider for the GC, no sprinter, the only hope for them is a breakaway. Nonetheless, they showed that they are quite good at TTTs, the new besttime - 47'28"
