Liggett and Sherwin seem to have finally remembered that Cancellara is ahead of Thomas on GC. It only took them 20 minutes of talking nonsense to get there
LOL especially Phil Liggett does he get anything right. |

Considering the fact of Sastre being behind and Hushovd just wanting the stage win and the points, he would be stupid to start relaying.
I wonder if you would be as angry with a "liked" guy if he did the same. Doubt it.

Yes but in this situation I became biased after he stole the victory imo from Hesjedal or atleast someone more deserving like Cancellara.

You do know Hushovd had the least fault of Hesjedal getting caught? Hushovd did the perfect thing and any other rider in his position would have done the same.

I'm done talknig about it. I didn't like how he didn't have to work to take the win like that in those circumstances.

Hesjedal was simply not strong enough today and he wouldn't have survived if Hushovd was in the Cancellara group or not. Hushovd did what every sensible rider would do. It would be stupid for Hushovd to help pulling since he would use unnecessary energy. He had every reason not to help Cancellara. He didn't need to win with several minutes and he had Sastre in a group behind. |

I would understand that if they had been in a breakaway for 200km, but with Cancellara riding as fast as he could to get Andy the highest gap possible, why would Hushovd even bother to start relaying when it would weaken his chances of winning?
Perfect tactics from Hushovd to gain the win.
But I can see from previous posts that you kind of dislike Hushovd so we're probably going to have different opinions no matter what, so it's kind of useless to discuss this |

but what about unwriten rule..If you aint working..you also aint sprint. It's not as simple as that. If you're not working for no reason, then you shouldn't sprint, indeed. If you've got reasons to not work, then you can sprint, and that's racing. It's what Hushovd did today.
Think about it. The guys were bringing a sprinter with them, they didn't try, or didn't manage, to drop him. Yet, despite being a sprinter he shouldn't sprint in the end ? Non sense. |

Are you retarded or just stupid? Didn't you see the Cervelo Team riding at the front today? They put in a great effort today and were robbed of the stage win yesterday. Very deserved for one of the best riders in the peloton. |

I'm neither. They were at the front to help Carlos mainly and Hushovd secondly. I said I was done done I have to clear this up now after it was rudely brought back up. Saxo rode at the front with Andy there for guess what- to help him get thru the day. Notice the topic tile STAGE 3. Were not talknig about yesterday. Robbed? Did you forget about Chavanel? There was almost a 90% chance they weren't going to bring him back. Sure Hushovd deserved the win BUT others in the group deserved it more especially Hesjedal or Cancellara. Also how do you know Hushovd would've won. There was other quality sprinters there too with more team-mates if I'm not mistaken like Rojas, and Ciolek.
Just because your team works all day on the front for you doesn't mean the rider deserves it more. In fact imo they deserve it less. Good day. I'm done with this.

What hole are the Hagen fans hiding in now?
So far, I've heard from them that he was going to win the prologue, then that he was going to win stage 2, then that he would win stage 3.
Have they simmered down, finally?

Chavanel had a less than 50 second lead and he was struggling before the crash in the peleton. He would never have won if it wasn't for the crash. |

In which case other portions of my post protect me as I don't beleive Hushovd was guaranteed the win.
