Great job in the ITT. That has to be your biggest win of the season. Now I'm really looking forward to this, when its on PCM 11.

Great win from Larsson. Have been an atentive reader despite not commenting much. It was a good season for your team.

EA-Sony Ericsson Press Conference

2011 Sponsors

i1236.photobucket.com/albums/ff456/mresuperstar3/Sponsors/EA-SonyEricsson.jpg

Welcome, as the season is coming to a close we have been working hard over the past few weeks to replace a few sponsors. At first the plan was to keep everyone on board, but that all changed when both McDonalds and eBay threw in the towel after glancing at the promotion standings. Soon after we received another phone call from American Express saying they have to call it quits due to their financial situation. But the nightmare wasn't over yet, with the pullout of American Express put more financial pressure on Voler and Powerade and they decline the responsibility and also went their own ways. There departure finally ended the chain reaction leaving EA-Sony with just their bike sponsor Trek. So the hunt was on for sponsors.

But before we could get on the phones, our phone rang first. And not surprisingly it was a Swedish company wanting in on the action. Larsson sure turned some heads when he won the World ITT Championship a few days ago. And when they laid their offer on the table, we were shocked at the account of money they were willing to give out for a secondary sponsor role. Enough money to cover the departure of all the other sponsors combined. So we couldn't say no. Without further ado, EA-Sony Ericsson would like to welcome aboard ...

i1236.photobucket.com/albums/ff456/mresuperstar3/Sponsors/Saab-1.jpg

Saab Automobile AB, better known as Saab is a Swedish car manufacturer owned by Dutch automobile manufacturer Swedish Automobile NV, formerly Spyker Cars NV.

With our first new sponsor covering the tab, we went in search of another sponsors for a little fun money. This time it wasn't as easy as picking up the phone. After talking with a few companies we came to an agreement with American corporation ...

i1236.photobucket.com/albums/ff456/mresuperstar3/Sponsors/bestbuy.jpg

Best Buy is a specialty retailer of consumer electronics in the United States, accounting for 19% of the market. It also operates in Mexico, Canada, China, Turkey and the United Kingdom.

Their one condition for their money was that it was to be used for to buy another GC rider for the team. And we happily took the money and started panning through the remaining free agents.

We are currently in talks with 3 riders and should come to agreement in time to post the new signing in the Month-End September Report.

We are also looking for any jersey makers in the market willing to put together the new kit for next season as well. If you are interest PM me.

Thanks for your time,
(and hopeful the forum will be up and running like normal August 1st.)

1 Day Left (Hopefully) until I get my pictures back Rolling Eyes. Just looked at my current bandwidth and it is at 111%. Let's just say that account will be finished at the end of the season. In other news, "Favourite Team Competition" Starts tomorrow, along with more reports for the "Andy Schleck: Quest For History" Story.

Oh and case you missed it the first time, EA-Sony have announced their 2011 sponsors in the post above.

Everything kicks back off tomorrow ... Grin

Ohh, more bad news Sad..... The Photos don't reset until the date I set up the account. Which happens to be the day I start the story, March 7, 2010. So if you do the math it will be another week before I can start either this story or Andy Schleck story. Angry

In the meantime, I moved all the photos from the CSC-Orbea HQ into a different account, so those pictures are available. And I still plan to start the "PCM.Daily Team Competition" TODAY.

Glad to hear, but as for the pics, you could just start an account on imageshack, to use for whenever this type of thing happens again, so that way, you could continue.

I thought about it, but I will just wait it out. And to past the time with the Team Competition. Plus I only have a few stages left, along with the Schleck story pictures are on here as well. Plus I start soccer conditioning this week, and it might be better for me just to focus on one thing this week (and follow the man-game.)

Also somebody was taken up my challenge to make next year's jersey. So that problem is filled. And his name will be released with the Jersey, as I currently want to keep it a secret. And if it is done in time, it could be presented in the End of September Review.

Made By: laidbackmarc

Welcome, with the 2011 season right around the corner we are finally prepared. The first problem was answered when fellow Sweden jersey maker laidbackmarc got a hold of us on the phone. And was willing to take time out of his day to produce our jerseys for next season. And again we would like to thank him for his hard work.

The next concern on our list was spending the money Best Buy gave us to find a GC rider. After talks with riders like Sylvain Chavanel, Thomas Voeckler, and Jurgen Van De Broeck. We couldn't supply the wage they wanted with the money Best Buy had supplied. So we started looking for young talents on the verge of super stardom. But still we stuck out with Nicolas Roche, Rigoberto Uran, and Rein Taaramae. But we didn't give up, we finally figured out we were looking in the wrong areas. Our last search put us right at home, the USA. With plety of young talents out there, we finally struck gold. Leading what many have said could be the next best climber out of the United States. And here he is ...
Spoiler
i898.photobucket.com/albums/ac189/Mresuperstar/2010%20Transfers/TejayVanGarderen.jpg

Tejay Van Garderen is coming to us from the very popular American squad HTC-Highroad. It took a lot of time to nail this deal down. But in the end we believe the terms make both sides happy. In Van Garderen's clause there are few things that should be mentioned. Including, 1. Failure to promote in 2011 gives Tejay the right to move back to HTC. And 2. Failure to ride the 2011 Tour de France forces EA-Sony to pay out 250,000 euros to Van Garderen and also to HTC-Highroad. But in return we are receiving a great American prospect, at only 22 years old he can climb and TT with the best of them. We is very welcomed addition to Larsson and Lovkvist, and the rest of the team.

That's it for now, the September Month-End Summary will be posted as soon as I get my pictures back Angry.

laidbackmarc is just awesome Grin Great jersey!

And a nice addition for your team. I think Van Garderen fits better than a guy like chavanel or Van den Broeck.

Good luck with your screen Wink

Yeah, after looking through the French and Sweden guys I couldn't find anybody that would suit the team well. So I went back through the American riders and Tejay really popped out at me. I don't know why I didn't see him the first time I was looking for transfers.

I have reports ready to be posted for both my stories and I have started editing the PCM.Daily DB for PCM11 for next season (Almost done, just need to fix the National Champions and the money). So if everything goes as planed, we could possible see the start of next season sometime next week. Grin Which if you have been following would know is a huge achivement because I started this story a year and half ago. So thanks if you have sticked with me this long, and I can't wait to get to PCM11. Wink

Sounds great. How long did it take for you to edit the DB? Because it is imminent for me as well.

Well after stupid errors and a couple of crashes, in total I bet I have spent 5-6 hours. This was the first time I have done anything like that, so I pretty happy it didn't take me longer. Wink

Looks good. The jersey is amazing, and what an amazing signing too. In my career he has 80 mountain, and still signed for 20,000 Euros with HTC.

Our Riders:
i898.photobucket.com/albums/ac189/Mresuperstar/Circuit%20Franco-Belge/Riders.jpg
4 stages of pure flat. We have brought our best sprint train possible, Larsson-Peraud-Talansky. A few top 10s shouldn't be a problem.

i898.photobucket.com/albums/ac189/Mresuperstar/Circuit%20Franco-Belge/Breakaway.jpg
The morning breakaway ...
i898.photobucket.com/albums/ac189/Mresuperstar/Circuit%20Franco-Belge/20kmtogo.jpg
Björn Leukemans is still out front with 20km to go.
i898.photobucket.com/albums/ac189/Mresuperstar/Circuit%20Franco-Belge/Caught.jpg
But he didn't have a chance, the sprinters weren't going to let that happen.
i898.photobucket.com/albums/ac189/Mresuperstar/Circuit%20Franco-Belge/5kmtogo.jpg
Peraud takes the first turn on front with 5kms to go.
i898.photobucket.com/albums/ac189/Mresuperstar/Circuit%20Franco-Belge/1kmtogo.jpg
But today just isn't our day. Talansky is way out of position with a kilometer to go. The fight for first is going to be between William Bonnet, René Weissinger, and Christoph Sokoll.
i898.photobucket.com/albums/ac189/Mresuperstar/Circuit%20Franco-Belge/Finish.jpg
Bbox Bouygues Télécom and William Bonnet take the win. Larsson is the best placed EA-Sony rider in 23rd.

Interview - Andrew Talansky
Q: A poor result today, what are the chances we see a bounce back tomorrow?
A: It's possible, the chase after the breakaway was really fast today and I just didn't have any energy left for the sprint. So I would just like to say sorry to Larsson and Peraud for my lack of performance today.

Talansky is ready for round 2, but are his legs?

i898.photobucket.com/albums/ac189/Mresuperstar/Circuit%20Franco-Belge/SprintPoint1.jpg
By the first checkpoint the breakaway is well away. And Peraud was taken a chance today and leaves Larsson to leadout Talansky.
i898.photobucket.com/albums/ac189/Mresuperstar/Circuit%20Franco-Belge/SprintPoint2.jpg
Wyss takes the next sprint as well, the peloton is starting the chase.

Make it all three of Wyss, Peraud takes third.
i898.photobucket.com/albums/ac189/Mresuperstar/Circuit%20Franco-Belge/Caught-1.jpg
Again today the peloton won't let the breakaway riders go.
i898.photobucket.com/albums/ac189/Mresuperstar/Circuit%20Franco-Belge/5kmtogo-1.jpg
With 5kms to go, the sprint trains are all over the road. They better be carefully ...
i898.photobucket.com/albums/ac189/Mresuperstar/Circuit%20Franco-Belge/Crash.jpg
... and it happens as the round the corner. Massive crash at the back. But there are no EA-Sony riders, and none of the favourites are taken out either.
i898.photobucket.com/albums/ac189/Mresuperstar/Circuit%20Franco-Belge/1kmtogo-1.jpg
Furlan leads them to the line, but where is Talansky? He was unhooked 2.5kms out. So now Larsson is sprinting for himself.
i898.photobucket.com/albums/ac189/Mresuperstar/Circuit%20Franco-Belge/Finish-1.jpg
Angelo Furlan seals the deal. And Larsson takes everyone by surprises finishing 6th, if only Talansky could of kept up.

Interview - Gustav Erik Larsson
Q: Can you tell us what happened out there?
A: From my point of view everything was going great. But when I looked back with 1200 meters to go Talansky was nowhere to be found, I thought he was on my back wheel. So I just keep going, and to get 6th is a great achievement for me. Hopefully Talansky can get his act together for the last two stages, because I don't think I can do that again.

Circuit Franco-Belge Stage 3 Report

i898.photobucket.com/albums/ac189/Mresuperstar/Circuit%20Franco-Belge/Profile-2.jpg
Is Talansky up for it today, or will Larsson have to sprint it out again today? Only after 160kms will we know.
i898.photobucket.com/albums/ac189/Mresuperstar/Circuit%20Franco-Belge/Breakaway-1.jpg
A very large breakaway tries to get away, including Richard Ackerman. But Bbox isn't taking any chances, and brings them all back for their man William Bonnet.
i898.photobucket.com/albums/ac189/Mresuperstar/Circuit%20Franco-Belge/20kmtogo-1.jpg
With 20kms to go, you can see the breakaway that did manage to slip away from Bbox. They have a 2'30'' advantage, will it last?
i898.photobucket.com/albums/ac189/Mresuperstar/Circuit%20Franco-Belge/10kmtogo.jpg
They are attacking each other with 10kms to go. Carlos Barredo is able to break free.
i898.photobucket.com/albums/ac189/Mresuperstar/Circuit%20Franco-Belge/5kmtogo-2.jpg
Barredo has a good gap with 5000 meters to go. EA-Sony has a great train going on the right side of the road.
i898.photobucket.com/albums/ac189/Mresuperstar/Circuit%20Franco-Belge/1kmtogo-2.jpg
Barredo is picked up with 2kms left, Bonnet is in perfect position 1000 meters from the line. And the EA-Sony riders have disappeared out of the picture.
i898.photobucket.com/albums/ac189/Mresuperstar/Circuit%20Franco-Belge/Finish-2.jpg
William Bonnet edges out Angelo Furlan by a wheel for his second stage win, and denies Furlan of back to back wins. As for EA-Sony, Larsson comes in with the best finish in 32nd. Talansky 34th.

Interview - Andrew Talansky
Q: What happen out there today, one minute you guys where right there, and the next you were gone?
A: The best way I can put it is the train was split about 1800 meters out. The peloton caught Barredo at the worst time around a tricky corner right in front of our train, slowing us down. Peraud made a nice maneuver to grab Bonnet's wheel as he pasted us, but Larsson couldn't squeeze into the small opening. Peraud tried coming back but by that time it was to late. We got one more stage to make something happen.

Good second stage for you. Maybe Talanksy can do something on the last stage.
