Stijn Devolder, August 2009: "I'm ashamed of my performance in the Tour. The team supported me so much and I failed completely. The truth is I didn't prepare adequately"
From what I gather of Devolder's past interviews, this seems very in line with his character.

Devolder is not the only one, anyways. The same thing has happened with Cunego and Valverde, for example.

I dont see why he should, winning Ronde Vlaanderen beats maybe finishing in top 10 in Tour.

Not so much a transfer, but team Caja Rural is going Continental next year and turning into a feeder team for Caisse. Mostly spanish riders will be on it, plus top prospect Michal Kwiatkowski

Danish team Designa Køkken and Blue water - cycling for health is fusionating into Team Designa Køkken - Blue Water getting a big budget next season and will be aiming to be one of the top teams of the continental rankings mext year, though they aren't becoming Pro Continental as far as I'm aware.
