what are your feelings on the TTT? it is a great spectacle but it can take some excitement out of the race (Evans). I would like to see a 20-30km TTT to open the race. this way there won't be massive time gaps, but it will also be significant in deciding yellow for the opening stage(s).

Who have said I belive that Lance will win the tour?? Idiot.. plz qoute me when i said armstrong will win the tour?!?!!? And I like the whole team Astana riders! And would been sooo cool that Armstrong is back in yellow 4 years after he retired!!
btw Yes I hope Lance or Contador wins the tour! And Yes I KNOW THAT ASTANA WILL WIN THE TOUR!
And who can beat them. Every GC rider is more than 1 min behind them. And it's still one more TT left
Its like someone is playing PCM with team Astana on easy...
The only positive I can extract from that entry is you have realized that 'own' isn't a word and changed it with another verb, which actually can be used in this context, namely 'win'. Good job Biathlon.

I don't know what to think to be honest. I think it's an amazing discipline, but as you say it, it kills the excitement a whole lot, and this is already looking a bit like a the first team time trials in the period 99-05, GC wise. Contador is in a too good position now for him to blow this up, and he won't now. It's a shame, but he just has the best team and today's stage has given him a major advantage. I can't see anywhere on this year's route where a Evans, a Menchov, a Sastre or a A. Schleck can pull this deficit back in any thinkable way.

And on Belgium TV one of the team leaders from Lotto said nothing is decided yet Cadel still has a chance, when i heard that i laughed so hard, he never attacks.

And even if he did, try and pick out one spot on this year's route where Cadel could distance Contador. You can't do it.

this TTT has actually given VDV a good chance to ride into form and grab a top 5 in Paris after a great ride from the Garmin 5

It's amazing how stupid myths get repeated time and time and time again until so many people believe them.
Evans is an attacking rider. To show you how stupid his reputation for following wheels is, I remind you that for many years, until recently, Sastre had the exact same reputation. |

Wait a second, isnt he one of the more active members of the norweigan forums and the guy that gets bitchy whenever we criticize Norway?
Also: Evans is an attacker.

I'm a bit worried that the 'excitement' of the Tour is pretty much dead from now. Menchov, Evans and Sastre have already lost a fair bit of time, and A. Schleck is also behind Contador.
Hopefully, he'll show some weakness in the third week.
About Sastre and Evans lost in the GC; Well, it makes them more offensive. Imagine Sastre forced to attack on the mountains. Could get very nice.
A defensive rider as Evans now has to attack too.

Some Norwegians does have issues when it comes to supporting teams or riders... They usually pick the best...
I always cheer for the outsiders and the underdogs, much more fun
[fanboyism sarkasm]Yeah, they often win a lot![/fanboyism sarkasm]

Translated to english: "Lance "The King/best cyclist ever" Armstrong says he's gonna ride in Tour de France 2009 Then it will be an 8. victory then Yeah! |

Media reporting that Armstrong had some weird behaviour after the stage - he showed up in the mixed zone, giving long interviews to all journalists. Afterwards, he went to the audience and started giving autographs and took pictures with the locals. |

Not excitement for the overall, but there will for sure be some huge attacks out of those two in the mountain stages. That will be exciting |
