Sochi was a shit race, but it was somewhat expected.
Dimas with an excellent 4th place in Rutland - Melton. Matthews even better with 2nd in Horizon Park.
Degenkolb probably could've done better in Moscow but the field was stacked.

Sotchi was a disappointment. Should've sent Quintana somewhere else and let Kelderman lead I guess, as he completely crumbled on the mountain stage. A shame that we can't win a TT though with those riders in the squad...
congrats to Nibali though!

Back to kvetching about Mullen in the TTs. As he again loses by a 20+ second margin to a rider with a significantly lower TT value (Ooomen). Also lost to Sergeant but at least he is closer to Mullen. Annoying to have the best TT rider in the division and not be able to win any stages.
Deep sigh. We'll get them next time.
Yes, it's a known issue unfortunately that PCM15 has quite random TT results
3rd is pretty damn good if you look at Lugvigsson (7th with TTR 78) or Zoidl (27th with TTR 77) and especially Quaade (18th with TTR 79). I'd call that a win for you, with the fine performance by Mihaylov on top.

Nibali's TT wasn't even that good, but Nairo's was just atrocious. Happy that it worked out with the win here. Nibali - Quintana 1:0
I posted the rankings update. A lot has changed with the first GT. Contador leads the rankings now with quite a gap to the others. 4 teams have lost contact to the others in WT and will probably divide the relegation spots among them. Behind SAP the fight for the promotion spots is also quite close. Ceramica Panaria arguably hoped for a better position after the Giro. |

If only it was like MG where the WT races don't count for second tier teams, we're in the title fight there Seriously though we knew what we were doing, as we did in our last promotion year, and it's paying off ok so far despite some fairly major dissapointments. Still in the promotion spots after May is a nice feeling
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

So far Bananito our torchbearer, which will remain until Herrada finally starts racing at le Tour. WT much closer than it looked before May with good months both for CCC and Credit Suisse. SAP running away with it at CT table.

Rankings looking a bit dicey but at least there's a gap. GTs are a dud for the rest of the year, so let's hope we can keep it going in the other races.

Ceramica Panaria now in the lead by pprd, though they did book very few races altogether. But definitely in the promotion race now. SAP with a nice lead, Fox Sports doing really well so far with their TT heavy squad. But as we saw last season, a lot can still change, a lot of CT teams haven't even raced a third of their race days yet.
No such excuses for the WT ranking. Aviva still 8th, fantastic, a good month considering Majka didn't race. Results and thus scoring can be a bit random, but seeing Tao Hart outscore Ruben in Sochi is weird. Hart had three terrible days but one breakaway on the final stage was enough to better Ruben, who rode really well throughout the race.
Sevilla with a huge jump thanks to Contador, definitely no relegation worries this season. Lufthansa grounded due to Covid.

TVG scored very well at Giro but our situation is not good at all. My team seems to be somewhere between WT and CT. Either too good for CT and too bad for WT. |

While we had a good month compared to what I expected, it's still not enough compared to what we need in order to survive but atleast we have kinda closed the gap a bit. Thanks for the update.
This is maybe a stupid question but which ranking actually decides the relegating teams? WT or Prestige?

The WT ranking, from rule #8:
The WT ranking will decide on which team will relegate to CT. The best CT teams in the PR Ranking will move up.
That's the way PCM handled it until recently. You could petition for making the prestige ranking decisive, which would make planning (even) more strategic, but it would diminish the importance of the WT ranking, prestige would rule supreme.

Thanks a lot Ripley, but man that makes me look really stupid, as I thought it was the Prestige Ranking and so I didn't always send my best riders to WT races. With supidity like that you don't deserve to stay up anyway.

There you go ruining a good moan with actual facts. Mihaylov is a stud, deserves everything he gets.
Rankings look better for us on the surface, but a lot of that volume of race days in May. Scoring in California would have been a lot better if we could stay on our bikes. Very happy with Ciolek but has to be some upside in Henao as he is currently 4th on our team.

Was all weekend at my gf and didn't have the laptop with me. Now many results for you as compensation. Jurassaine, Luxembourg, 4 stages deutschland, 3 stages guatemala..

Ruben with a really good result in La Jurassaine, well done. Weird that Schorn isn't sprinting in Deutschland (nor anybody else): 79th, 70th and 78th in the three sprint stages. Good start for Majka in Guatemala. I'd love to see him take the lead after the time trial.

Kelderman strong at La Jurassine, so is Mohoric. Quintana not at his best though yet. Oh, and we still can't win an ITT...

Decent result for Dombrowski in Jurassine.
Not very competitive from Matthews in the Deutschland sprints. Three 11th places? Must be a new record Yates with an excellent 2nd on Stage 4, moving up in the GC. More of the same please.
Lavery with a great ride to 2nd on Guatemala stage 3. Dombrowski with some solid work too. Hoping he can move into the Top 10.
Thanks for more awesome work Shonak
