Amazing from Schleck.
And my word, Rein has somehow clawed his way up to 5th! Did not expect that! Or Oscar Solis doing miracles to take 9th up Alpe d'Huez, despite the break being caught! 9th!

Amazing stage. Schleck simply phenomenal as he has been all Tour.
Henao with the more surprising performance, incredible fightback at the top of the mountain to pull out the victory.
Roturn, I will add to the praise as your reporting has truly made the drama we are all reveling in here.
Beagle, I would agree that Schleck's performance here is tipping things in favor of Vesuvio, will be very interesting to see where everything stands after Paris.

I know I've already said it and others keep saying it but these are some great reports roturn. Thanks.

To say that I'm disappointed of how Vanendert has handled these last stages would be an understatement. Well, at least I got my stage win.

Thanks for all those nice words about the reports. The race was really nice in most stages. So writing reports was a pleasure. Plus I have started in October I think more or less together with SNs Gieo/Vuelta.
So tomorrow will see the last stage in Paris. |

Very detailed report again there Roturn. Madrazo finally performing after 19 days of being awful. And Schleck doing enough to hold onto Yellow. So many riders DNF on that stage so could be a breakaway on the Champs.

Woah, stamina stat really kicked on today.
Madrazo flew thanks to a big gap in stamina to Pluchkin and Schleck. And Schleck also struggled because of that.
But Schleck has all three jerseys and only a flat stage left for him

@alex: Well Vanendert held on to second place at least! I am again pleased with my teams efforts. A case of so near but yet so far thpugh with two DNFs and Bran battling for points but enduing 6th just some points away from 2nd in KoM.
Woud be lucky if we get in the break tomorrow - Coppel would be great in that. Do think if it is a sprint Phinney would be short odds.
Schleck though wins, not quite at his best there. Pluchkin needed that performance like yesterday and Madrazo two weeks ago. Fairly certain whatever happens Santander are doomed so this underlned Madrazo's potential to return to form next year.
There are a few surprises in the top ten - Amador dreopping like a stone Phinney holding on to 4th and Dauphine winner Taaramae up in 6th and for me most of Schleck winning in the way he came back.
great reporting for me short odds for race of the year

Madrazo with a late comeback. Pretty strong, but kinda deserved to not go past Phinney in GC.. Would have loved to see Spilak going for such a win though. But except of that few signs of weakness, Schleck totally looked in control today. Loving those fog-screens, btw
Going for a breakaway win tomorrow.

Never seen fog like that in my day's as a PCM player.
Schleck looked weaker than Plushckin today, but still had everything under control. Madrazo was strong, shame it's already way too late to make something...
Now, for a breakaway win in the Champs! |

Yes, that is of course a good performance. But, after wearing the jersey for quite a few days I was expecting him to at least try to win it.
In the end, I guess the jersey wasn't actually a goal for him but more of a result of taking part in multiple breakaways and scoring points along the way.

Congrats to SN for the win. It's a huge effort, and probably means that Vesuvio will end up winning the PT rankings.
For me, the race has been a slight dissapointment. Obviously I didn't expect to win the race, and 3rd is OK, but losing by such a margin, and getting increasingly worse by the day, and also being extremely shitty on the hills is very dissapointing. Ratiy is doing decently to stay within the best 30 riders, and my team is in large pieces intact, whereas many teams have lost 3-4-5 riders...
Georgos Tzortzakis will never ever get a better shot at a Tour de France stage win, than the Paris stage, looking at the competition, but looking at the resultlist I suspect either Phinney to win, or a breakaway, and we haven't been in a single breakaway during the entire race, so I would be very surprised to see a top result from us here.

Another pretty epic stage. Long race, tough weather and huge gaps. Schleck had done his work already and there was no need to chase after Madrazo, who finally shows up 19 days late. Great to see my mountain train in action for the first half of the stage too. Suaza even trying to then attack with the favourites!
I do like the fact that the top climbers have contested for the stages this race. In the other GTs, the Vuelta in particular, the support teams of the leaders wasn't so strong so the breaks tended to stay away. Credit has to go to B&O for helping with that for much of the race here.
In terms of PT standings, I imagine Andy will be scoring a whole lot of points in this race, but I am going into this 1500 points behind the lead. Lots of teams will score more than me in the remaining races. Last year Vesuvio were only the 14th best team in post-Tour races.

I was secretly rooting for Pluchkin the entire race after his terrible luck last year. But, seeing the way Schleck rode the whole Tour, I think we have a very deserved winner. After he lost some time in the first week, I thought a win was just a bit too far for him, but he proved me wrong.
This is by far the best MG grand tour of the season. And we're not finished! The final stage should be interesting with the absence of a few sprinters.
Van Heerden was disappointing for me. I thought he was capable of better results given the sprinters in the race, but I guess his low ACC is a problem with PCM13.

All in vain . Spectacular win for Schleck I have to admit. I am dissapointed with the way Pluchkin fared in the mountains throughout. Is this the first time he doesn't get at stage since 2009?
Great comeback by Vesuvio though, and good to see Madrazo notching up a stage eventhough it's weird he has been so inconsistent this whole season.
Oh well next year then... don't want to end left by the alter again now with also finishing runner-up in the Giro. Can't wait to see the route for next year.
Also great reporting from roturn. Does a lot to the whole flow of the game to get a new stage at such consistent rate all the way to the end! Big kudos!

Big congrats to Vesuvio, at least Schleck is going to win Le Tour here!
Happy with König's result, 20th place is really good. And I am happy as well with Howard making it in the time limit. Hopefully he will get his chance for a big result in the last stage, but I believe a breakaway will win it.

Can't believe Amador dropped so much, how disappointing. Oh well, a couple of stage wins is a nice compensation. Congrats to SN, Andy is a great winner. Let's just hope everyone makes it through the next stage without problems!
