Helven was part of the early breakaway. I'm not sure who was in there with him but my gut says that everyone ahead of Degenkolb was in that break with him. Which means that Van Asbroeck was second in the bunch sprint. I swear to god he had better repay my faith in him this year...
Malkael got Zabel'd for making the title just that one bit more descriptive

Big thanks to jdog for making this AMAZING userbar!
From the little Vine snippet I've seen on the line it looked like Haas took it from Goss by nigh on a bike length. Showing some impressive form in the early season not to mention finishing speed, especially as the plan was to set up Van Hoff until the last minute.
As for Goss (only one, early season sprint I know and not that 2nd is awful or anything ) will he ever recapture the form that suggested he would be an A list sprinter, doubtful I guess. Probably a bit harsh on him but he was so close to Cavendish and Griepel just a couple of years ago I can't help but be disappointed there's not a 4th sprinter in the mix for the big ones.

Three A sprinters? I think you reffer to Kittel,Cav and Gorilla? Those are so As, that they get beaten for the green by B sprinter.

Actually I was referring to Sagan, Sagan and Sagan
On a flat finish Sagan is not generally as fast and how could he be he can do an awful lot more than that. Of course despite the bias for the sprint stages there's a lot more to green than being the fastest sprinter

That is the spirit!
I agree it is about bit more than sprinting, but what made the result so overwhelming was consistency also on the flat stages. You can win three flat stages, but when you miss top 10 in other three, you miss a lot of points.
