Cool! You will post the reports in 1 posts though, won't you? 1 part per post like you did in a fantasy game once is a bit annoying IMO Wink

-The Race-

Right from the start, a volley of attacks came through. Talabardon was first to attack with Perichon and others. Hulsmans was the big notable.
i1273.photobucket.com/albums/y415/Nick_Thrasher/PCM0004_zps62264ca1.jpg

AG2R was not happy with these attacks. Team U25 struggled to stay in place, especially as Berard increased the pace.
i1273.photobucket.com/albums/y415/Nick_Thrasher/PCM0005_zpsecb8b2d1.jpg

But it all calmed down shortly. Hulsmans and his escape group were caught.
i1273.photobucket.com/albums/y415/Nick_Thrasher/PCM0006_zps5338b2a9.jpg

Perichon and Bozin were not ready to stay in the pack, so off they went. They darted away and opened up 30 seconds in under a kilometer.
i1273.photobucket.com/albums/y415/Nick_Thrasher/PCM0007_zpsd21f2713.jpg

They were caught also. However, William Clarke slipped away during the catch.

The team rides up front
i1273.photobucket.com/albums/y415/Nick_Thrasher/PCM0009_zps1a78e8c5.jpg

Of course, a 1-man break would never do, so Hardy and Warbasse assaulted the rise in the road.
i1273.photobucket.com/albums/y415/Nick_Thrasher/PCM0010_zpsb99c42e5.jpg

Saint Ledger picked up the pace a small margin, and the BOTD was forming ahead.
i1273.photobucket.com/albums/y415/Nick_Thrasher/PCM0011_zps63f13984.jpg

With Saint Ledger, Pery, and Scott doing pacemaking, the first large climb approached. The break had just under 4 minutes.
i1273.photobucket.com/albums/y415/Nick_Thrasher/PCM0012_zps5388625d.jpg

Team U25 said no to that gap, and whipped up the pack. The gap started closing just a smidge.
i1273.photobucket.com/albums/y415/Nick_Thrasher/PCM0013_zpsb4043893.jpg

And then came the first attacks for the line! Approaching the largest hill on the course, Talabardon and others started the race!
i1273.photobucket.com/albums/y415/Nick_Thrasher/PCM0014_zpsb4b88108.jpg

Brought back, others went at it, including Konovalovas!
i1273.photobucket.com/albums/y415/Nick_Thrasher/PCM0015_zps79170022.jpg

Early pacemakers Saint Ledger, Pery, and Scott suffered as they crumbled under FDJ's pacing.
i1273.photobucket.com/albums/y415/Nick_Thrasher/PCM0016_zpsddec6337.jpg

And then the damage. Riders began failing, and the back of the pack thinned!
i1273.photobucket.com/albums/y415/Nick_Thrasher/PCM0017_zpse1503192.jpg

And then more bad luck for Saint Ledger! HE falls on the descent, and is nearly hit!
i1273.photobucket.com/albums/y415/Nick_Thrasher/PCM0018_zpsc57ed7bc.jpg

Exhausted, Saint Ledger admitted his defeat. His race was to finish. Meanwhile, Serge Pauwels fell off the bike and abandoned.
i1273.photobucket.com/albums/y415/Nick_Thrasher/PCM0019_zps14e6162d.jpg

Back up front, Saxo-Bank and AG2R were driving the pack forward, and riders were giving in to the fatigue at the rear.
i1273.photobucket.com/albums/y415/Nick_Thrasher/PCM0020_zpsc9fa2f1f.jpg

And then the favorites went away! Most notably, Betancur, Nicki Sorensen, and Bardet broke free.
i1273.photobucket.com/albums/y415/Nick_Thrasher/PCM0021_zpsae447eda.jpg

And Betancur went again! On the final descent, he decided to get away!
i1273.photobucket.com/albums/y415/Nick_Thrasher/PCM0022_zps41f0b386.jpg

Brother Betancur was struggling though...
i1273.photobucket.com/albums/y415/Nick_Thrasher/PCM0023_zps5ad31188.jpg

Following a small crash of off-the-backs, Betancur continued to stretch his lead. He got down low, and pedaled away!
i1273.photobucket.com/albums/y415/Nick_Thrasher/PCM0024_zps56cb7ba5.jpg

Under the flamme rouge he was still away! With just a little left, he looks behind...
i1273.photobucket.com/albums/y415/Nick_Thrasher/PCM0025_zps78bc1364.jpg

And there is nobody! Betancur takes victory!
i1273.photobucket.com/albums/y415/Nick_Thrasher/PCM0026_zps1279a413.jpg

Behind, the pack sprint went to those who survived the pace.
