Exactly. I can understand why everybody is hating on Schleck, but why is Gesink everybody's darling??? Gesink achieved so much less than Schleck... You can't say year after year it's just bad luck. I said before, here on the forum, Gesink will never get a TdF podium, but i know most of you guys here don't agree with me about Gesink.

Yes it's always like this when a guy is so bad at handling the bike that he crashes constantly - his fans always say it's bad luck.
Zülle also had a lot of "bad luck". Eventually he got fed up and admitted what everyone with half a brain knows - it's not bad luck he just can't handle the bike.

Andy has always an stupid excuse, but Gesink is another one who has also an excuse 4 everything too. And 70% of the times is bad luck and IMO thats not much better than the Schlecks ones. Now his trend excuse is bad positioning, thats was the excuse at vuelta a Andalucia at Stage 3 Lucena-Rincon de la Victoria when he was left behind in the last climb and only mange to come back in the flat part too and when it isnt bad luck or bad positioning its the that wasnt his main goal excuse. Fact is he never performs bad NEVER...... |

Only 1'30"
They're not letting Voeckler go.
Gilbert returning to the pack after a flat, no harm done.
Clement, Fuglsang and two others have abandoned.

This. I also contest the statement that he always blames something else. From his twitter:
Robert Gesink @RGUpdate
Damn! Knew where I had to be at the bottom of the last climb, but wasn't in perfect position. Lost valuable time #stupid #disappointed
It looks like he's blaming himself, and as far as I can tell Gesink has never displayed something close to the wall of text isso posted on Andy's lame excuses.
I agree that Gesink isn't absolute top as he seems to lack some crucial techniques like MartijnVDD posted: staying on your bike, positioning etc.
On the other hand, I also believe that the reason why Gesink never became as good as Contador or Schleck is because Gesink doesn't dope.

I really don't understand Eurosprt's priorities. On eurosport 1 there is a re-run of a women's football match and on Eurosprt 2 they choose to send the flat Tirreno stage live, rather than the more interesting, hilly P-N stage? Idiots.
How hard can it be?

I'm watching a eurosport stream as we speak, it's just that I would prefer to watch it on TV.
How hard can it be?

We don't get to see Paris-Nice because of the football game. It's because biathlon, which starts in a few minutes.
And we see Tirreno on Eurosport2 because they are scheduled to show the Tirreno and not PN.

Lots of good riders going off the back of the peloton, including Quintana and Gallopin. |
