Yes the AI will control them, even the AI needs to have some riders. Won't be much fun for the Conti teams if half of their races are against nobodies. I'm trying to emulate (to some degree) how the real life teams are in relative power.
Also by me drafting with them now, if someone decides they want to join in, they will get a team at least close to the same strength as the other User Continental teams. Also there are over 3000 riders in the 2012 DB, wouldn't worry too much about choices... we are only taking 1044 of them. So just under 2/3s the riders won't be on one of the major teams (I will actually build up another 10ish team after all the drafting to act as low level conti teams)

i think you should keep drafting at the bottom with the continental teams with no user. That would give a little edge for the user cotrolled continental teams as it is'nt realistic with 25 conti teams of equal strenght. I even think the ai controlled teams could end up stronger after round 6 if you draft them this way with 2 choices in round 5.
And it would get the used controlled team a better chance to get their favorite rider, how the stats are pretty equal.

Just an idea I came up with tonight, perhaps it would be cool if every team could pick a stagaire in August?

Just posted my draft list. Really hope to get one of the first 4, but don't think that's possible, my estimate is that chances are slim. Probably end up with pick 5-7 would not be that bad those riders fit my team profile the most, so it would make my sponsor happy to secure them early on. Lower good riders but i would not be happy. |

Team Vestas Wind are really happy to present their team captain. Matti Breschel. He was our first choice all the way so we are really happy that he was still on the market. Matti Is the kind of rider that can win in alsmost any terrain hills cobbles an on the flat, And in A reduced group he are often one of the fastest. We believe in many wins for him in the new season.
Matti is to be our captain in the cobbled spring races, and we believe he is one of the favourites, even for the big cobled races. Hopefully having him on the roster will help os get invites to the cobbled World Tour races, cause these races are really important for our sponsors.
Finally we hope that the next rider on the team will be another perfect match like Matti. We have our eys on a group of riders who would fit the team profile and keep the sponsors happy, hope others don't have them on their lists

Continental teams need to apply for wildcards for wt events right. Are they sure to get a wild card to a wt event if it's one of their preferred races, or at least having better chances getting one.

Breschel is just a bit better. But Pipo fits my teamregion better.

I guess you're Danish? 
I don't think you can get a wildcard for all WT races you like, because I'm sure that more than 10 teams would like a TdF wildcard as well. So it's just better chances. |

Yes i'm danish, you guessed right. Trying to make a realistic danish pro continental team, it's all about the feeling for the team roster, and the races.
About the wildcards, better chances I like that, it's the way it should be.
Any way don't care about the tour or stage races in general, at least this season. |

I agree, so User teams will always draft first, I'll pick for the other conti teams last
Also I think there needs to be more variation in power of the Conti teams, so they won't all pick every round. When they pick though it will be in pairs of rounds (so no unfair advantages).

They are certainly not sure to get a Wild Card, I imagine all 7 user conti teams will apply for the TdF, only 4 of them can actually go...
