that's my feeling on most races nowadays. and it's pretty damn simple to fix: ban team radios. or set a limit on one rider per team carrying a radio.

Bettini has very solid sprint so it'll be a battle of dwarfs... er, titans. |

By the way, how do you know Sanchez and Valverde will be working for Freire? They could be riding it for themselves as they're very likely candidates for the podium.

every year they have good chances and every year they work 100% for Freire. could be different this year, but I'm not betting on it.

it's a joke, but it's still true. you mention british riders and no one else. it doesn't annoy me, it doesn't bother me and I don't see anything wrong with that. but it's still true.

It is NOT true. And I think I know more about what I think better than you do.
Im fed up of you constanty slating and pro-Brit post I make. Of course im only going to mention Bellis in my first reaction, going into the Worlds the only hope Britain had a metal was an outside chance in the Mens ITT. So to get one in the U23 races is Brilliant.
People are always going to be nationalistic - infact, you are probably one of the only people on this forum who arent nationalistic whatsoever.
It annoys me when people like you try to make a joke out of almost every post and always have to comment on any optimistic post to knock it down. Would it please you to live in a world of pessimists???

sure it is brilliant. and I have absolutely no problem with you commenting on it
but have you commented on anything else? you hardly ever do.

"Nationalism is an infantile disease. It is the measles of mankind" - forgot who said that
believe me, I am as nationalistic as most people. I just try very hard not to let it sway me. and sometimes I manage to do it.
SportingNonsense wrote:

you're right, I've been jerking around far too much on the forum this past couple of weeks. I've got to turn that around.

so I try to make a joke out of everything, yet I'm a pessimist? you're contradicting yourself. I put in my views. if it comes across as me putting anyone else down, that's down to your interpretation and has nothing to do with my intentions. Whenever you read a post of mine, don't think for a second I consider I'm posting the definite truth. I'm posting what I believe to be true and you're free to counter-argument and try to convice me otherwise.

I agree with you and SN. Controversial? Well, yes but I like when a Slovak or Czech rider wins and I find it kinda funny when someone likes the cyclist from his country win so much he is so happy that he doesn't look at the other riders great placements. |
