Well, Some of the inside turns are still really dangerous, considering that the riders wont take the risk of loosing time and riding far from the edges..
On top of that the whole road is on gravel... I have bad hopes that sombody ends up like Augustyn in the tour in 2008 (if im not mistaken)...
It up the riders...
If they take risks and will descend as mad dogs..and will atack against each other ..there is nothing to do.
Also there is climb before that descent...peloton should be smaller.
They should also cancel Roubaix next year..this is not proper road race..surface sucks.
It's all in the head..
we just do not atack against each other on that descent..that should be enough
It's absolutely ridiculous to send the riders to those roads. If their wasn't the Weylandt-incident, they probably didn't even make the safety measures. Just skip that mountain and go straight to the Zoncolan.

Actually the plan to set up nets was made even before the Giro started.

Ehm, no. They did plan those safety measures before the Giro even started. The only problem Mt.Crostis has are the ravines, and with them protected it's not more dangerous than, to say one, the Passo di Gavia.
Have the organisers done anything about the time limit that day?
Its all very well to say the descent is fine if you dont take risks, but the non-climbers will probably have to take a few risks to battle the time limit!

I guess the organization will be very understanding, providing that people don't finish ridiculously late.
