@roturn and janne_837: Thanks, guys. I was really suprised by our good performance in ITT Especially Duarte did a great job.. but it's almost impossible to catch Evans in GC, last stage is flat.. only chance would be a Top-3-result (for time-bonus) by Rujano in mass-sprint (which I expect).. much important is to defend the points-jersey.

For some reason, we failed to get in succesfull breaks in Ireland so far (except the one, where Suaza became 10th out of a break).. we'll definitely try with Montana or Keinath in last stage.. i'm not happy with our low-key performance in FBD

As the Bayern-Runfahrt is over, the team doesn't really know, wether to be happy or to be disappointed. Duarte missed the team's goal to achieve the point-jersey by 1 (!) point, after wearing the jersey 4 days! José Rujano is a great 2nd overall, but he's so close to winner Cadel Evans, that it's quite a bad luck, too.. Andrew Talansky has the same points as KoM-winner Harbig.. but all together, it was a good performance from Dark Dog in Bayern: 1 stage-win, 2nd and 4th for Rujano and Duarte in GC (+ 11th by Cameron Evans), 2nd in Points and Mountain-jerseys.. Hilton Clarke showed his talents in last stage. Though missing some better achievements very close, Team Dark Dog was noticeable in this tour! Congratulations to Cadel Evans, who had a great timetrial, that brought the overall victory:

From Team Dark Dog's point of view, there's not much to talk about FBD Ras 2010. Nico Keinath had a good finish in final stage for 7th position, and he's also the team's best in GC as 18th.. Congratulations to Jacques-Maynes, who managed to win this tour out of a breakaway and solo-effort:

Thanks, baia. Well, yes, it's a good season so far and, most important, we have many points in Cont-Ranking. The second half of the season might be not that succesfull (Duarte, Rujano have both many race-days), but it's a great position
So here's what's coming:
Team Dark Dog's looking back on a very succesfull May. Fabio Duarte won the Amgen Tour of California and was performing well as 4th in Bayern-Rundfahrt, too. José Rujano became 2nd in Bayern and had a stage-win in California. And the team got it's first wildcard for a ProTour-race: Tour de Suisse! And this will definitely be the highlight in upcoming June. We don't know, how much energy our captain Rujano will have left until Tour de Suisse, but he's in great shape and might be in position (maybe for a breakaway). We're already excited and do not know, what we can expect there. But it's gonna be interesting... another important race in June will be the Philadelphia International classic: our sponsors want us to gain a Top-10-placement there! We feel optimistic about that goal, as a lot of our riders have their fitness-peak at the moment.
