Chak: You have to put all 3 dds files (which you have downloaded) into the pcm folder under CM_textures/equipment/frames (or helmet/cadre depending on the file you want to add).
The nif file has to go into the into the respective CM_meshes folder.
To make the equipment visible in game you have to open your DB with the Full or Lachi Editor and add it to the game.

I tested paint.net and there is no option to save the file in dds

You can only open/save a dds. file with gimp or adobe. However, you also need to download a special plugin by nvidia.

You actually can open a dds file with Paint.net...
Well it works for me so i guess that should be the same for everyone...

You can also download DDS converter or ask Arnomoto to upload his files in DDS.
