I was thinking the same ... until I thought about his condition. He was probably way too tired to even think of celebrating.
1. Image and style shall be the primary concerns of the Euro Cyclist. When suffering, one must focus first on maintaining a cool, even composure and second on performance. Winning races is an added talent, and only counts if said Euro Cyclist wins with appropriate style.
poor form cadel.
Oh, I forgot that only European cyclists celebrate. Cadel's excused |

I don't think they (Tankink and Loosli) would have had a big enough advantage on the peloton the stay in front of them, so no. I rather think it was stupid of Kreuziger and F.Schleck to try and stay away from the peloton, because it was always likely to end in a bunch sprint up the Mur de Huy.
Anyways. Liège is up next. Valverde and Gilbert look like the men to beat and Rodriguez and the Schlecks should be contenders too. I'm curious about Contador and I hope Gesink finally has some good luck.
It seems obvious that we prefer riders from our nation, so we can always argue if Gesink or Kreuziger have better chances
The fact is that Gesink had two abbysmal seasons, meanwhile Roman is collecting nice results but i wish him better luck and my dream is to see battles beetween him,Roman and Andy in few years for the Tour win and classics also
And i dont like the oppinion that riders are stupid when they try to win from the break before the Huy, because i dont like boring races with only exciting finish, so i clap these two for their courage
Go Roman!

Sure it was nice and courageous of Fränk and Roman to try, but that doesn't mean it's smart. And I don't think Gesink was that bad the past two seasons. Sure he had a lot of bad luck, but still had some nice results. I'm not saying that he's a better rider than Kreuziger. I'm just defending Rabobank's tactics. |

Okay, he won Emillia, was 6th on Vuelta,2nd at Amstel, so it was not abbysmal, but it was not nothing great in terms of his generation rivals (Roman,Andy) .And 6th on Vuelta is for me still something like top 15 in Tour
But as i said he is my favourite rider too, he just needs to calm down in stress situations and needs better luck
Go Roman!

Gesink was better than Kreuziger in the races where they meet eachother though. A better climber, and better in long time trials even.. (Kreuziger blows after 20km).
He just had bad falls at the wrong moment which makes his 'honour list' look small.
But to say he had abysmal seasons is uhm, quite off. I haven't seen Kreuziger battle it out for a Grand Tour yet like the way Gesink did against Valverde in the Vuelta... |

They met eachother in some race?AH you mean in 1st stage of some race, because it is hard to meet Gesink in later stages when he always fell form bike in the first ones.
And batteling for Vuelta win with Valverde (you mean 6th place?) is not the same as batteling for Tour as i mentioned above
Bur i agree that he had some nice results,it was too strong words from me
Go Roman!

gesink was second by a only a few seconds if im correct but he felt again , he was slightly injured on his knee , he lost a lot of time in the last 2 or 3 stages
