By the way,I would like you to choose our rider of March!
These are the favorites
Maxime Monfort:He won the Criterium International after a great performance in the mountains and a good time trial. Also he got an amazing 4th overall place in Paris-Nice!
Tony Martin:His biggest result in March was the win of the U-25 competition in Paris-Nice.Furthermore he helped Monfort a lot there!
Mark Cavendish:He won two flat stages in Paris-Nice after an amazing sprint performance. Also he could get a great second place in Milan-San Remo!
If you would vote for another rider just tell your opinion! |

Gran Premio Miguel Indurain
As I already told you Michael Albasini and Peter Velits are our men for the big hilly classics in the end of April.Their shapes aren´t really good up to here so the big goal should be improving their fitness. We´ll see if they can get a good result but we shouldn´t expect something like that because the competition is great with riders like Cunego,Samuel Sanchez,Gilbert,Rolland and Voeckler
Team Columbia for Grand Premio Miguel Indurain
Peter Velits
Tejay Van Garderen
Michael Albasini
Marco Pinotti
Vicente Reynes
Rasmus Guldhammer
Jan Ghyselinck

Gran Premio Miguel Indurain
Especially in the end we´re expecting many attacks by Spanish teams who want to show their strength in their native country today. But with Cunego and also many French favorites the final could be really exciting
Of course there were a few escapes in the beginning but with more than 30 kilometres to go they were all brought back to the peloton
When the break was caught the first moves were already made by Dupont and Voeckler
Our leader Albasini tried to go after them but he was brought back to the pack really fast
With only 13 kilometres to go Cunego started his attack while Dupont and Voeckler were still in front with a gap about 25 seconds
Cunego´s team-mate Pietropolli and Rolland went after him
Pineau and Albasini came back after a short break in the pack, maybe they can go for the win? It´s gonna be a great finish!
Pineau starts another attack out of the leading group with only 2.6 kilometres to go.Albasini had no chance to stay there with the leading group he was back in the pack
The sprint begins there while Pineau seems to be the winner but behind they were fighting for the podium.Voeckler,Rolland,Dupont and Pietropolli are sprinting for that but Cunego isn´t there he´s a few seconds behind them.Looks like a French domination in Spain!!
That´s it!In the end it became close between Pineau and his chasing group but he still could take the great win there in front of Rolland and Voeckler. It´s even a triple for France!Albasini came with the pack

Ronde van Vlaanderen
Welcome to the first cobblestone classic with Bernhard Eisel as our team-captain!Ronde van Vlaanderen is a great race full of exciting moments and hard hilly sections where many favorites would like to win this classic. As I already told is Eisel our captain, his biggest help will be Matthew Goss,Andre Greipel and Lars Ytting Bak.But let´s talk about the biggest favorites for today!Fabian Cancellara is maybe favorite number 1!After his impressive performance at Gent-Wevelgem he should be the greatest contender.Contender??Of who??Mhh there is also Tom Boonen,Pozzato,Flecha,Chavanel,Ballan,Van Avermaet,De Waele,Hoste and Nuyens. And of course Bernhard Eisel but if he can surprise the big favorites? That´s the main question today, but one thing is for sure! This race will be full of exciting moments and many attacks that means we have to be careful every minute, every second!!Let the show begin!
Team Columbia for Vlaanderen
Bernhard Eisel
Matthew Goss
Jan Ghyselinck
Lars Ytting Bak
Bert Grabsch

Ronde van Vlaanderen
We expect 258 kilometres full of exciting things,so let´s start!Eisel´s shape is fantastic so we should expect at least a top 15 result maybe a top 10??
It´s a pity but the game crashed again in the end!I would really like to make a big report about that race!
There were some escapes but they hadn´t any chances today. The pack kept the pace really high so that many favorites could even get a small gap to the rest of the pack.Boonen,Pozzato,Cancellara,Chavanel and Eisel were together in one group with only 20 kilometres to go.Then came the first move on the last uphill sections by Tom Boonen! No one could follow him.Cancellara was second behind him after this climb,Pozzato third and Chavanel and Eisel behind them.Pozzato could reach Cancellara in the end but Boonen won the race with almost 3 minutes in front of Pozzato who won the sprint against Cancellara,Chavanel became 4th in front of Eisel!Yes that´s an amazing result for us and it makes me optimistic for Paris-Roubaix

Vuelta Ciclista al Pais Vasco
As I already told in the presentation of April Michael Rogers will be our team-captain.But we also send two great puncheurs with Albasini and Velits ´cause they are still looking for a better shape.Furthermore we have two great sprinters there called Greipel and Renshaw. The competition there is fantastic and so it´s gonna be a hard race for Rogers. He has to dispute with Valverde,Cunego,Popovych,Samuel Sanchez,Basso,Pellizotti,Voigt,Lövkvist,Gilbert and many more about the overall positions. So let´s see if Rogers can show us a good week there!
Team Columbia for Pais Vasco
Peter Velits
Tejay Van Garderen
Michael Albasini
Andre Greipel
Vicente Reynes
Marco Pinotti
Michael Rogers
Mark Renshaw |
