Boom in the break again.
If he keeps this up he risks being put right up there with Leukemans and Ignatiev as tactically stupid riders.
Of course, it's likely he was told to do this.
He probably need to train high tempo for longer distances because in cyclo-cross he did a lot shorter races... |

I believe that, if the organizers have any intention to start outside Spain again soon, we migth have a very good shot at another Vuelta start before long.
Doubt it. They did it once before, it was huge success and it took them 12 years to do it again.
I heard they might go to Africa (though probabaly not start there) next year.
Well, guess what was in the newpaper today? Some sort of interview with Guillen, the new director of the organisation. What he said was that he, unlike the man before him, wants to start outside of Spain at least once every four years. He liked this start a lot, and he's likely to return at some point, although he was intereted in a start in Belgium and/or France as well.
So, seems very likely it that it won't take 12 years this time

He used to be skinny. Well, he has a reputation for not working hard in training, so...
Yeah, he's getting older and now needs to learn how others train to get the weigth off |

This is a guy who freely admits he doesn't even get on the trainer if it's raining

Thunderstorms. Where's Thor when you need him?
Just don't hold your hand up for bottles.
Anyway, so far it's a bit hotter than that graphic. But just as rainy.

Freire is now a dead cert for today's stage. |

bad weather, a long stage, difficult route.....
I like my bet on "another rider," today is the sort of day where the pack misjudges or just doesn't care and the break stays away.

Breschel said a few days ago that he wants do something on this stage, but it all depends how the pack get over St. Nicolas. If Freire is still there, he doesn't stand a chance of course, so I'm not that unrealistic.

David López, Dan Martin and Charlie Wegelius all out with crashes.
EDIT: In case that's not clear, I mean they retired

Lopez and Martin have not abandoned. They've crashed, but rejoined the group apparently. Wegelius has abandoned though.

Commentator says that this is wrong. Dan Martin and Lopez are still in the race.
Edit: Now, I'm too late.
