Stage 6
ITT through Passo di Foppa
The first 3 riders to set off were ours: Roca, Faria e Quiñonero. Yhey all reported a tough course
Cavendish, Wiggins among opthers were the first to dominate the first standings. Naturally the first reasonable climber in this case Tiralongo took the 1st place for over 2min
After him Cabreira got 2nd place. Poor effort though...
Meanwhile Piepoli recorded the best time!!
Later Leipheimer got the best time in the intermediate point!! Piepoli was 7'' away 7''
Kloden the next one to pass there only got the 9th time... bad news...
At the finish line a nice surprise! Efimkin took the 2nd best time!
Which was later beaten by Menchov.
And even later by Leipheimer! However Piepoli's time was still the one to beat!
Kloden wasn't able to do best than a 12th place. Let's hope the last flat TT brings us some benefit...
When Devolder apeeared in the last km he was closely followed by Schleck! The luxembourguese didn't win but managed to defend successfully his yellow jersey!

Stage 7
The climb to Lago di Naret was the only point of interest in the stage so:
>> *Fast Forward*
Schleck leaves the pack early in the climb!
Menchov is off too! Kloden realises he has to get going as well!
Zubeldia and Devolder attack to join the others...
Meanwhile at the front there is a duo formed by the Rabobank and the CSC riders! Kloden is chasing them closely.
The lack of coordination makes it possible for Kloden and Devolder to catch them!
And later by all the elite of climbers present here in Switzerland!
Some kms after the first disapointements... Kloden, Evans and Zubeldia can't keep the pace up front!
Valverde who hadn't moved yet reaches Kloden's group!
And at the head of the race there was Schleck once more alone!
He is still followed by Leipheimer, Mechov and Valverde who is recovering pretty well!
After them Evans and Kloden work to minimize the gaps.
However this one wouldnt escape from Schleck! One more victory for the CSC rider!!
In the chasing group Menchov takes 2nd ahead of Leipheimer! Valverde surprisingly is left behind in the last few meters!
Kloden finishes 6th... There's still some training to do before the Tour...

Stage 8
Unorthodox stage... the breakaway was given to much freedom and the gap happened to grow more than expected
At the bottom of Saas-Fee Pacheco and Contoli constituted the front duo!
Followed by a group containing Loosli, Hansen, Van Avermaet and Facci...
...and even by some riders than weren't able to keep with the pace of the front.
In the back there was the peloton with... 12mins of delay!!!
This time Schleck wasn´t the first to call the shots. Gusev was the pretender!
Later Devolder, Efimkin and Jimenez launched themselves in the front as well.
But the race only began when Valverde got away!
Quickly the favourites started to counter over and over again to reach the spaniard! Menchov and Schleck were the first ones...
...Kloden some time after them in an effort to get a good result here in Switzerland!
When the yellow jersey group started to break, Leipheimer emerged from the back!
However, Valverde was still the leading rider!
In the meantime Kloden got caught by the pack...
Away from all this discussion were the escapees! In the moment of the thruth Pacheco beated Contoli to get an unexpected victory!
While in the back Evans finally decided to do something and tried to reach the others.
But he wouldn't do much more than trying because the leading trio was already finishing! The Tour of Switzerland was almost completely decided!
...Leipheimer was the next one to arrive...
...Then Evans with some other underdogs...
And only after them Kloden and the peloton... it'sa shame...a good stage could have given us a chance at the top5...

Crisis hits Scott - American Beef!!
Yesterday Scott - American Beef who's in Austria at the moment, in the city of Fuckville, preparing the Tour, conceded some freedom to the press in order to let them have some contact with the riders.
The highlight of the day was the interview with the team leader Juan José Cobo! When asked about the harmony whithin the team he represents, the spaniard answered that he eally enjoys being with everyone but he just can't stand wearing a sort of golden jersey. Quoting Cobo, the jersey is responsible for a chronic goldenofobia which ridiculously leads him to wear black socks!!
At the moment of that revelation, Mr. Scott and Dr. American Beef were present, and became imediately astonished with the spanish they thought to be a good person!. In their opinion not only that color is very pretty but it alson is better than Meitan's pink!! After these happenings both directors turned their back on JJ Cobo and told him: "We will never be your friend again" like two heart-beaten kids.
The board of the team then released a message saying the team would still take part in the Tour but the riders would have to agree with Cobo's abscense. They all hapened to agree in deed. But Cobo then appeared ordering to shut up as the picture shows!
Since there, nothing more as come up. Further revelations are expected before the Tour de France sets off.

Spanish ITT Championship
The big favourites were Gutiérrez and Contador
Caisse had expectations so they brought all the heavy cavalry: Valverde, Pereiro, Leon Sanchez, Gutierrez e Blanco!
The Spanish RR champion also took part!
As Hector Guerra...
...Ruben Plaza...
... and Eloy teruel. All with interesting times, but...
Contador arrived and conquered it with nobody close enough to challenge him...
The actual champion ended in the 35th... a poor but expected result...
Not even the man who crushed everyone in the Giro's final TT could aproach the Astana leader!

Portuguese ITT Championship
A struggle between Tiago Machado and Sérgio Paulinho was expected!
Unfortunately for us Tiago was one of the first to leave...
In the first checkpoint he had a serious delay to someone who wasn't even a candidate!
Meanwhile Paulinho was getting ready to set off!
As Tiago was preparing to finish!
A final effort...
and a 1st place!! provisional nevertheless....
Some minutes later, José Martins took it... another TT championship lost...
Hélder Miranda registered even better than his colleague...
In the meantime José Azevedo was doing good making 2nd in the first checkpoint!
And a while later Paulinho overdid everyone there... Another Astana rider stealing a TT national championship from us it seemed...
At the finish Azevedo was 2nd!
But everybody knew this one was going to Paulinho!! Congrats to the former Olympic Silver medalist!
Classification
1 Sérgio Paulinho Astana Cycling Team 54'35
2 Helder Miranda Sport Lisboa e Benfica s.t.

2th checkpoint and no doubts left! Hesjedal will be the Canadian ITT Champion he got a minute of advantage!!

German ITT Championship
Kloden was the main favourite today!
However, both Columbia and Gerolsteiner had men capable of winning it: Voigt, Grabsch, Gerdemann, Lang and Fothen!!
Kloden was the last of them to set off so we could manage his effort considering those marks!
In the 1st checkpoint Andreaswas already in front of Tony Martin and Sebastian Lang por by a good lead!
But in the 2nd the advantage decreased... bad news?
Finally in the last few kms he passed the last 2 men who set off before him!
And at the finish line the message we all wanted to hear! Kloden beats everyone to become German ITT champion by the 2nd year in a row!!!
Classification
1 Andreas Klöden LA - MSS - Póvoa de Varzím 48'38
2 Sebastian Lang Gerolsteiner + 28
3 Tony Martin Team Columbia + 42
4 Linus Gerdemann Team Columbia + 49
5 Markus Fothen Gerolsteiner + 57
6 Bert Grabsch Team Columbia s.t.
7 Jens Voigt Team Columbia + 1'09
8 Marcel Sieberg Team Columbia + 1'13
9 Patrick Gretsch Thüringer Energie Team + 1'38
10 Ronny Scholz Gerolsteiner + 1'42

the thing is they both have their fatigue maxed..
Di Luca would be a major help undoubtfully as well as Stuey...
Anyway until the start of the Tour nothing is definitive!

Portuguese RR Champs
Cabreira, Pires & Machado tthey all had a chance!
The team tactic was to place 2 riders in the breakaway!
Goal achieved by T.Machado and A.Azevedo! The 1st one kept away from the front as the 2nd worked to regroup the many break attempts.
But A.Azevedo didn't last forever and so Machado had to escape with Pinho and Sampaio!
At the back total anarchy created by the crosswinds
Meanwhile Machado was able to breakaway once more!
However A.Cardoso was recovering and managed to enter A.Azevedo's group!
And in the downhill he launched himself for our man.
First he passed Sampaio and Pinho..
At the last circuit entrance the Toyota rider was able to take a glance at Machado!
A final climb...
and the pursuit was over. Now it was a front duo fighting to keep the wide gap
10km to the finish. Now it was certain - the victory was to be decided by the two young lusitanians!
Cardoso launched the sprint...
...but Machado wisely took the inner trajectory!
1km to the summit and the lead was taken..
And the portuguese scepter remains within the team! Tiago Machado is now the proud wearer of the lusitanian colors!
André Cardoso did an amazing recovery but he just couldn't be better than Machado in the end... More chances will come in the future for him.
