Defending our Top 10 will be hard or even impossible, unless Cosnefroy does his magic one more time.
He did!
Indeed, fantastic spring season for him overall! The win in Morbihan was exactly what we needed - and then Gautherat doubling up with 3rd in Bro Leon (with Capiot in 12th and Cosnefroy in 15th) is fantastic! Even Einhorn got some points from Elfstedenronde, so I guess the Top 10 might be safe now
I think my podium finish should be safe as well now, unless something insane happens in Circuit de Wallonie. Those fighting for the top 10 are taking all the big points.
As mentioned before, I'm leaving on holiday so the final results will be two weeks away, very sorry about that.
Did you think that I'd forgotten you? Perhaps you hoped I had.
With the final race and my vacation over, we can have the Block 10 and final results. Morbihan was good scoring for several teams, as was Tro Bro Leon. The Elfstedenronde had a weaker startlist, most likely due to the calendar change. Circuit de Wallonie saw more redemption from De Lie and Zingle.
This means we have our final rankings:

Congratulations to this year's Winners, the Alexkr's Racoons! I'll go into more detail later this week, but a solid R1 pick in Pedersen and and even more impressive R6 pick with Van Gils are the key factors for their success. They finish the game with a lead of well over 200 points.
In 2nd place we have the UU W, aka Team Mathieu. Their star rider did his absolute best, scoring 57% of the team points, but he did not get the necessary support to win the game.
In 3rd place we have the Ollfardh Rogues with a strong finish, only missing 2nd place by 19 points. But looking at the 268 points needed to win the game, the manager will keep asking homself how Van Aert would have done in Ronde and Roubaix.
Just missing out on the podium are the Nemolito Zondagscoureurs. The three-headed monster Pidcock-Wellens-Stuyven lost one of its heads too soon, and no one else was really stepping up.
Coming in 5th we have the KB Cobblers. They looked to be title candidates when Philipsen and Hirschi were riding, but really missed scoring when they didn't. Still, they won a Monument!
In 6th place we have the Seancoll Spokes. Random fact: if they had picked Van Gils instead of Healey, they would have easily won the game.
The final team in the upper half are the Cunego's 59ers. Unlucky with Evenepoel not riding a single race, the rest of their team did rather well.
On to 8th place with Marcovdw Macros, who got the top pick this year. We can only say Laporte disappointed and they had to struggle to finish in the top 10, but they made it!
Then we have the sprinter team Laurens147 Hornets finishing 9th. De Lie had ups and downs but scored ok in the end. A few of the other picks were more questionable, so they had to fight until the end for that top 10.
The final team in the top 10 are Fab's Fainthearts. After 3 awful first round picks and the biggest selection miss of the game, they still recovered and made the top 10.
That means sad news for the Bikex Red Lanterns who finish 11th. Lots of promising riders who did not deliver in the end means that they are 51 points short of the top 10.
In 12th place we have the IE Ice Tulips. Pogacar was a good pick, but he didn't really ride enough classics this year. The rest of the team was a mix of older riders and younger talents that didn't really work.
Who would've expected last year's winners to finish 13th? The Jaxika Hussars had an extreme focus towards the Ardennes, but it never payed off. It's a miracle this team didn't finish last.
As the final place go to the BBL Bombers. It's a pain to lose your number 1 pick to injuries before the game even starts. Furthermore Alaphilippe was saganing his way to an early retirement.
First of all thank you Ollfardh for running this game. Also congrats to alex for a well deserved win!
Philipsen and Hirschi were great picks for us finishing 2nd and 7th in the individual rankings, but the rest of the team not even scoring 300 points shows there wasn't any depth. Probably a relocation is on the table for next year as our Brits got us practically no points at all.
Thank you Ollfardh, first and foremost. This is always a lot of fun! I had some nice mid to late round picks with Milan, Albanese, Venturini or Van de Paar. Madouas was not a great but still a decent 1st round pick, and Politt really carried this team on his back.
Evenepoel was a questionable 2nd round pick given his focus on stage races, but could've proven worth it with a strong Ardennes campaign, maybe giving me a shot at the podium, but the injury got in the way. With Rui Costa missing the entire season injured and Van Eetvelt not riding a single race after Strade despite his fantastic results, I basically got one race out of 3 of my Top 5 picks combined (also not a single race for 7th rd pick Dainese), which is obviously not ideal. Considering that, I'm honestly pretty happy with 7th.
Congrats to the Racoons, dominant victory. Already looking forward to next year!
Everyone, you're welcome. Glad you enjoyed it as much as I have.
For my own team, I'm happy with my third place, especially as I don't have single rider in the top 10, showing the team depth. If Wout doesn't crash, I think I could've won it too. Aside from Svrcek, who was a total miss, all my riders scored points somewhere. Vansevenant was an excellent pick, as was Pithie although I feel he deserved more points than he did.
All in all, obviously not happy with my draft strategy once again. Last year, I got R1 right with De Lie (who ended up doing pretty well again, despite a shaky period), this time the first four rounds were really bad. Still happy with some of the lower picks, and Cosnefroy really was fun to have on board!
Hopefully I'll get the first round picks right next year as well - I'll be there to try again!
Congrats to the Racoons, great team you put together - did you see Van Gils' amazing breakthrough coming?
And thanks a lot to Ollfardh for organizing this once again
The gamble on Girmay in the first round clearly didn't work out. But mostly just not very good at this and without the obvious MVDP pick we would have been mid-table a best.
Thank you Ollfardh for the final ranking update and overall running of the super fun game. Fourth is definitely a nice spot to finish I think, and can only be happy with my first three picks. A shame Stuyven got robbed of his Paris - Roubaix win with that crash of course
Most of my lesser riders, such as Aniolkowski, Taminiaux and Dupont, all proved their value as well, and the FDJ puncheurs didn't do amazing but also not the worst ever I guess. The risky Ewan pick proved to be totally useless with no participations at all, and Simon Yates was also worse than what I thought he could be. Fretin's early season crash might be the reason for his weaker than expected results, and Voisard and Kamp showed me I should have no faith in Tudor
Thank you for the congrats, guys. And thank you for taking part in this. It was quite a fun game. Already looking forward to next year.
Guess Van Gils will be on of the top picks next season.
@Fab, I was looking at Ardennes specialists and his results last year looked quite promising for a 23 year old at that time. But I wasn't expecting this outcome.
