"I love him, I think he's great. He's transformed the sport in so many ways. Every person in cycling has benefitted from Lance Armstrong, perhaps not financially but in some sense" - Bradley Wiggins on Lance Armstrong
If this happens that would be nice..if they can agree eachother wich one will take a Giro and who TdF (Cunego also promised that he will concentrate to Tdf at next year..after not so good as expected Giro).
Cunego won't ride the Giro again. unless he changes his mind when he's older...
the next few years he'll focus on the Tour. which is how more and more people will begin to realise how overrated he is. he's not Giro-winning quality just yet. he might be one day.

We got conspiracy theory ..why Cunego isn't what we have expected from him at this year...
I would like to push all those suspicions away...he wasnt 100 in final GC. He was all mountain stages in top 5 climbers group. he never cracked. if he cant follow he choose he's own tempo...and he show great fighting spirit in Zocolan (after stage I was a bit mad to him..because he helped so much Di Luca).
And like isso sayd..he's is young guy..2-4 years to go to reach best cycling age. I hope we hill hear about him..even why not next year..
Like I have sayd before..I am more worried about Contador and A.Schleck..when Boonen and Cunego.

it's not that. I just don't think he was EVER that good.
he got a big lead in 2004 because no one knew how good he was, so they let him go in breakaways...
and he built enough of a lead to win the overall.
I just don't think he was ever good enough to win the Giro. but I think he might be one day.

Fast Freddy WIll be looking for a new contract next year as Predictor has decided not to extend. I think he will come back to america and race domestically.

Do you think he would be good in a American team like Navigators or Health net??

His win in Giro de Lombardia 2004 was quite good, beating a very strong (and possibly doped) Basso.
that was a bunch sprint. not a big bunch, but still, in a small bunch, he's got a great kick.
he managed to hang on and then out-sprinted them

He said last year that before he retires he would like to do a few years of racing in the US to help his foundation along and to give his buisness and his fans a boost. I would think that health-net and Navigators would be the most logical teams to go for but then again he mihgt not be coming back just yet. He also said that he wants to have a good classics season justs one more time.

They were 6 guys according to this.
do you remember watching the race?
there was a big group. then someone attacked, can't remember who. the other leaders followed. no one else did because their leaders were up the road.
those leaders fought for the win, eventually finishing together, while the guys back had no reason to chase, so let them go. those behind they were eventually caught by guys from even further behind who organised a chase (guys from Alessio, Fassa, etc.).

the link between Wiggins and T-Mo was obvious, there was no other team he could've gone to
T-Mobile have strict doping stuff and Wiggins hates dopers with a passion
also T-MO have been investing in a lot of British riders due to them being clean and very, very good
i think he is, did you see the interview with him in CW
he talked about how he WILL win P-R one year, he feels he has the talent, and altough he may not win a bunch sprint he is a very strong rider (which is very true) and if he gets in a break he has a pretty good chance of making it to the finish
he is like a younger not as good Jens Voigt, he just needs time to grow and T-Mobile are the team to do that i think
