The breakaway was over with 35 km left

Noah has quite bad legs today, but his good climbing helps and he feels good approaching the final 10 uphill km, and so does Leon Eduard Brescher having very good legs.

Team Lotto - Kern Haus form a train with Sven Zurawski in front, attempting to positioning the leaders for the final kick. 3.6 km left.

Leon starts his sprint with Noah at wheel, but the are both overtaken by the fast sprinter Olav Kooij from Jumbo-Visma Development Team who wins the stage, Leon Eduard Brescher 2nd and Noah Takaima 3rd.

Also Henok Mulubrhan NTT Continental Cycling Team and Hidde Van Veenendaal Jumbo-Visma Development Team gets the same time, everyone else loses 24� or more. A great start for Noah positioning himself for the coming mountain stage.

The weather has changed, no wind and a beautiful sunny day. Five riders form todays breakaway Xandres Vervloesem Lotto U23 take the early KoM.

With about 35 km left the breakaway was over, but Vegard Stokke Development Team Sunweb lunch a counter attack. He would be caught just prior to the second KoM climb, at this points the final was already started with just 20 riders in the leading group.

Mathieu Humbert Lotto U23 attacks from far out, more the 10 km to the top. The leading group disintegrate, all the riders sitting more or less one by one, like pearls on a string. Noah not sure where he is. Clearly, he is going to lost time here, fighting to just stay upright.

After a brilliant ride Mathieu Humbert won the stage with 52� down to race favorite Marius Mayrhofer Development Team Sunweb, Noah 11th on the stage losing 4'19, dropping to 7th in GC.

Frederik Raßmann join the early breakaway, quite a nasty sandwich alone with three riders from Biesse - Arvedi – Premac and three from Israel Cycling Academy

Mattia Pinazzi Biesse - Arvedi – Premac took the most KoM points moving up to third in that classification. Frederik Raßmann was last rider to get caught with 35 km to the finish line.

60 km left and the first riders are dropping from the breakaway

15 km left, the bumpy route and high pace has stretched the peloton, Noah has only Sven Zurawski left to help, the other teammates can’t keep up.

Sven was able to keep Noah in front right up to the final sprint, but the group was quite large and Noah could not keep up with the best hilly sprinter, finishing 9th. It was enough to stay 7th in GC.

The stage was won by Olav Kooij Jumbo-Visma Development Team who also won stage one, thereby also winning the points jersey.

Mathieu Humbert Lotto U23 won the GC in front of Marius Mayrhofer Development Team Sunweb and Savva Novikov CCC Development Team. Humbert also won the KoM.

The morning breakaway was 9 riders, the pace was high and quite early many of them fell back to the pack, strong climber Mathieu Humbert from Lotto U23, domination the breakaway attacking several times and also sitting alone as last rider when Chris Snow L.A. Aluminios - L.A. Sport attacked from the pack at Casal Novo, the long late climb starting about 20 km from the finish.

Nobody every saw Snow again he wins the race with 1’29 to the next rider Mattia Petrucci Team Colpack Ballan 2nd in front of Henok Mulubrhan NTT Continental Cycling Team. Mathieu Humbert cracked a bit near the end but finished 4th

Noah could not keep up with the best today, but came in a respectable 8th.

The morning breakaway was 11 riders.
As the pack was getting close, especially due to the fight for position coming into the two late cobbled sectors, Nils Wolfenbuttel VolkerWessels-Merckx, Laurens Sweeck Pauwels Sauzen – Bingoal, Timo Kielich Tarteletto – Isorex and Emerson Fontaine Wallonie-Bruxelles Development Team attacked from the break, attempting to distance the pack on the last sector.

Sweeck and Wolfenbuttel last to hold of the pack, but caught with about 15 km left.

Knowing that the pack includes several strong sprinters Lotto - Kern Haus set up an aggressive train pacing trough the curvy forest sector leading up to the finish in Rijssen. Attempting to get a head-start into the last sharp right turn.

Simon Laib, Tobias Knaup, Sven Zurawski, Noah Takaima for Moritz Plambeck

Moritz loses Noah’s wheel, blocked in the sharp right turn about 2 km from the finish, he never reconnects as Sven opens the sprint from 1.7 km.

Noah Takaima finish 4th and Sven Zurawski 5th, Moritz Plambeck just inside top 10. This was the best result from Noah in a 1.2 race this season.

Florian payed for a nice lunch at nearby restaurant Wüstenhof, this was a first and Noah enjoyed spending some informal time with the boss just talking about past races and getting nice food and a glass of wine.

Florian: “The other races we got is two stage races and some important one-day races, in the stage races we have some smaller bonuses from Sporthilfe Rheinland, but in the one-day races we got very good bonuses in the three sponsor focus races from Lotto. Also, some minor bonus from Kiwa in the two one day races even though they are less important. The races will be split on two options for you to choose between.�

A group of seven riders was soon followed by five riders, after less than 10 km the two groups united to what was the breakaway of the day, although the break was 12 riders there was little possibility, they would be able to hold of the pack, all very weak riders for this profile.

Lotto - Kern Haus and Adria Mobil was working over the last 20 km, cutting the distance down as the breakaway was fighting harder than expected.

The breakaway was caught just before the first passing of the finish line, Lotto - Kern Haus was working for Noah, seemingly having the best legs today.

Noah lost Manuel Porzner wheel at the 2nd passing of the finish line, and was struggling bad to reconnect. As a consequence, the team had to regroup working for Joshua Huppertz instead.
