Unlucky Soler:cry:

If he is injured than yes, if he is perfectly fine then it is actually, lucky Soler. After last year with him being so good on the climbs, no-one was ever going to let him escape for his KOM points with him being on the same time as everyone else. Now he is 3 minutes behind already he will be given more freedom and it will help his goal of getting the KOM jersey.

Brilliant Stage win for Valverde, also good note to the break, long time out.

Good Stage, bring on tomorrow

Sounds about right, even though I'm not sure if a sprinter will win the green at all this year.

Going for Valverde for green?

Depends on if he will keep his form, but this years tour doesnt have a lot of sprint stages at all, at least not pure sprint ones, so it's a nice chance for Kirchen, Valverde, among others

even though im happy valverde has won, i know that he has wasted some energy. Ive been talking to Issoisso and he has been making sure that im wrong when saying h has wasted a much energy has he could had. There was a tail wind i think coming into the home straight so i think he will have saved some energy..

Still... GO VALVERDE!!!!!!! GrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrin

Valverde with his usual "attack everywhere" routine. He'll be at his usual level in the Pyrenees. Then, as usual, he'll be gasping for air in the Alps due to his unnecessary energy spending.

Also, Hincapie is american, so there's some natural bias right there.

Name one result in an uphill sprint better than Ciolek's world under 23 road race, last season at the Deutschland Tour and this year's uphill sprints at the 4 Jours de Dunkerque and Bayern Rundfahrt.

i didnt say he was a better sprinter i said he does better on hills. He won a stage at teh Dauphine Libere and that is just one off the top of my head.

he won from a break, attacking them on the flat.

your bias plus your ignorance of Ciolek's abilities (you're stereotyping a sprinter) blinds you, but I'll drop it Wink

Soler owns at steering

I declare Isso winner of the argument. I also declare that Soler is a candidate in the Cyclists category in this years annual Darwin awards. Then, it could be that he was attempting a powerslide Pfft

Colombians all seem to own at steering Pfft

And about the power slide: if you watch Savoldelli ripping it up on tight corners, you'll notice he actually does slide with the back wheel.
