IIRC in 2005 riders had to use the same equipment as used by Merckx in 1972. With the modern bikes Boardman set a record of over 56kph.
Yeah, Boardman is not counted. Voigt and Brandle had the same rules as chemical being Sosenka...

Well, now that i checked it, riders are most likely allowed to use the bikes they want now...
Edit: From wiki:
In 2014 the UCI unified the two classifications into a single classification in line with regulations for current track pursuit bikes. Records previously removed for Chris Boardman and Graeme Obree would be returned, however the current record would remain at 49.700 km set in 2005 by Ondrej Sosenka, even though that is not the farthest distance.[4][5] Under the new regulations riders may use any bike allowed by the UCI standards for endurance track events in place at the time of the attempt.
So it is not surprising at all, that the times are being beaten, sorry Brändle for accusing without thinking.

Better? No, seriously, i will go rampage again when the cycling season starts and Sagan starts loosing (or winning hopefully). But isso is gone and rest of the people are normal, so maybe Kirchen_75 will save the day and start me up.

If anyone would be able to give the names mentioned in the full article, which I can't reach due to not being subscripted, it would be very interesting to see which cyclists are mentioned.
He's the guy that got Tom Meeuwsen suspended IIRC. I haven't seen any names yet, but it would be mostly football players, cyclists, cyclocross and some sprinters (the running kind ) .
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

I'm happy to start you up a bit,
That Sagan. Worst rider ever.
Am I doing it right?

Nope. Too obvious.
In other news, Kreuziger and his lawyer continue to cover the czech press with stories, how bad bad UCI and whoever are destroying his career. The lawyer also says that Kreuziger is sick with his Thyroid since forever and that could be one of the reasons for abnormalities in biological passport.
I dont know what to do with this case, should i laugh or cry? UCI is acting like bloody amateurs, but i think Kreuziger and his team is lying hard...

How can a doping suspension ruin a career?
He just has to deny doping and/or shut up, then continue with the doping and he will be Olympic champion in the near future... |
